19 August, 2015
The Venice will run Android Lollipop. The software on both seems entirely unskinned.

Oh, but why... Beyond the app gap blackberry 10 shines bright and Android is as dull as dishwater. A Bb10 like interface over android would be lovely.... As long as they can make it as secure as a blackberry that is ....

Maybe too late for bb. I said they should do this 2 years ago and why should we buy one of these phones when we can install bb messenger etc on our other droids?

Looks nice but it should work smoothly like BlackBerry OS.
Waiting for the launch of the slider.

I guess BlackBerry is doing what Nokia should have done (subjective, I know).

it will be so expensive that it wont make sense for most of the people to invest so much in blackberry.

Interesting, looks like the physical keyboard has a different layout for numbers and special chars compared to the stock virtual keyboard for Android that we saw on the last leaked photo.

Very surprised that the new Passport looks like the first generation. There were numerous design flaws with that model, because the frame was weak and would bend under normal usage. This caused screen lift in the corners. The Silver Edition Passport was supposed to fix all of that by putting more frame at the top to prevent bending. So its weird that BBRY would revert to the original design for a new model.

There are third party launchers that already allow a gesture based interface for Android. It should be trivial for Blackberry to duplicate thw old interdace. As long as swype left brings up the hub, whats the difference?

The best thing about the BB OS 10.3.1 is the simplicity, efficiency and the all mighty Hub. A BB with android on it ruins the whole experience.
