Alleged iPhone 6s frame gets put through bend test

19 August, 2015
Last year Apple revealed a new design for its iPhones, but with it came the (in)famous 'bendgate' saga. Apple's new iPhones (but mostly the iPhone 6 Plus) were extensively tested by different outlets and found to bend a lot easier than competing products.

i call fake. apple wouldn't spend money on higher grade aluminium unless they plan to charge a lot more. just like the sapphire glass rumour. they wouldn't give you near unbreakable scratch proof glass because they make so much money from phone screens breaking

its nice that BIG companies learns from their mistakes and take counter measures to correct those mistakes... Now for the price, if it would still be around the same price with the iPhone 6 when it was released, then that's good

Obviously fake a real Apple product would definitely bend.

Which means apple knows that the i6 is so fragile and hey, we have a new one thats stronger than the original 6, which means you have to buy another one this year, they really knows business. $$$$$$$

Anonymous, 20 Aug 2015Um you must have not actually seen some of the drop tests. ... moreLOL! Didn't you remember when they compared a droptest between 4, 4s, 5, 5s(which is much smaller) vs s3, s4, s5, n3, ,n4 and other bigger phones back then. Now you're telling us that it's not fair to compare samsung's new phone cos it's bigger and surely shattered easily? C'mon man, if samsung is not a cheap@ss company, no matter what size of it's phone is they will make it tougher.

Ofcourse every glass will break with certain force or angle but the purpose of this droptest is to when and which height most likely will the screen or glass will shattered.

And drop tests and bend tests are completely unrelated. And with the 6 plus especially it was not just bending the iphone. It was an extremely weak spot in the frame.

And again......drop tests and bend tests are two entirely different things. And of course the Note being a much bigger device cracks easier than the much smaller and lighter devices.

What is wrong for a company like others learning from their own mistakes?
Making a stronger alloy and in the same time lighter is a win win

That's the nature of their company to sell iPhones.

And do you believe that he got that iPhone 6S case, built in a highly secured factory, out of nowhere? Of course Apple is behind all those things! I'm not saying that the results of the test are not real but this is marketing.

Now that I think microsoft made new flagship to arrive should be something like computer - surface device, so we might see pen alternative.

and of course no cracks. I think that will be best to compare, note5 crack like an egg with just waist height. Apple did overcome bend test, no cracks expected. Its a win win in comparison to new sam flagships. Wanna see someone to drop new iphone dozen times (and n5 too) to laugh at their faces what they did made... (I mean at back side, not screen)

Just do something so that people can distinguish iphone 6s from the iPhone 6 like they with 5s by the introduction of gold color and new home button.
