Meizu m2 note battery life test

23 August, 2015
The Meizu m2 note turned out a capable fella even though it came with an inferior chipset compared to its predecessor. The m2 note still relies on a big 5.5" 1080p display and a MediaTek tech, plus it's powered by a beefy 3,100 mAh battery.

With normal usage, mainly looking at news apps and some web browsing, I charged it up first thing in the morning and not again until 11 am the following day.

Recently purchased Meizu Note 2 Battery only lasts about 3-4 hours on standby and even less with usage. Have tried closing apps with no noticeable difference. Any ideas on the problem or do we have a faulty battery.
Also calls drop out after 2-3 minutes.

It also has some support for EU LTE networks, therefore you should check if it has LTE support in your country. As for the International support I agree that it might be a major drawback for many users, but I guess MEIZU is working on that also. Until then we will have to rely on forums and different hacks... By the way I own this device as my main phone and so far it is doing great.

Android has a major bug with broadcasts in WiFi networks that prevents it from sleeping (wlan_rx_wake wakelock). Or at least had. Yet many manufacturers still have it in their firmwares, including Meizu's Flyme.

All good, except lack of NFC, european LTE bands and poor non-Chinese support in Flyme.
