Samsung is said to be intensively testing the Snapdragon 820

I trust Samsung they definitely saw it coming after their own testing of the 810 showed that crappy cpu is prone to overheating thus causing the system to thermal throttle. The 7420 is better in every way and this is coming from a Snapdragon 800/801/805 fan.

But as every time I visit this site, most of the time it occurs to me that those hits or favorites must'nt be as made-up nor fabricated as some think they are. I don't fully believe they even the slightest are actual hits by GSMA staff themselves - then again with a teaspoonful of salt, who knows (or who to trust, is this some classified Mission: Impossible stuff or just some intellectual Jarvis+Vision info?)? Which should lead us to clarity that arguing or claiming that 'this site is full of Samsung haters' could either be (im)partially flawed or (im)partially accurate

AnonD-364786, 25 Aug 2015site is full of samsung haters and samsung paid fans ;-)Outright Samsung haters, on what grounds? Paid fans - who could tell? There might be some literal haters who sarcastically (or ironically) have a few Samsung phone models favorited or liked - who knows? But we don't need to rummage further and seek high and low for us to base our statistics/demographics. If one can just smartly navigate through the site, one could quickly and daily realize that even the home page of GSMArena is all ready and upfront to not only back itself up but also speak for itself that Samsung is trendy and a fave amongst GSMA subscribers, readers, and fans alike (at least when browsing from a PC). Regardless, some could still possibly miss their charts of Top 10's (by Daily Interest with hits and by Fans with favorites)? I guess purely mobile browsing, huh? I'd be surprised if those browsing on a PC missed or forgot to realize that there are Samsung phone models 'currently' included (even as I speak) on either of GSMA's Top 10 charts

I like you have used a verity of devices from different manufacturers over the last 10 years or so, Just because I may choose a Samsung or LG or HTC product etc, does not mean I sell my soul to that company or owe them anything beyond my honest impression of their product.
I currently use a LG G4, but have just ordered an S6, which will be my third one (because I must be insane or something) I got rid of the first two because I though the battery life was sub-par but have decided to give it another try (it was going cheap enough on ebay)
If this S6 is the same I will ditch it to, and move onto something else, I do like most aspects of the G4, but am a little bored with it now. As I am not a 'Fanboy' to any brand I am free to choose whatever else takes my fancy.

How many times, does it need to be said, criticism of a particular brand or product is not automatically: 'Trolling' and or 'Hating'. It can simply be critical analysis / opinion based on personal experience .
These are discussion forums, they are meant for....you know discussion and such. if all you have available in your seemingly empty head to answer opinions that you don't like or agree with is the following three words : Troll, Hater and Fanboy, then please naff off to Reddit so you can wax nonsensical with the rest of your brain dead ilk!!!
Back to the point Samsung has had a good year with the Exynos 7420, and were in hindsight wise to avoid the Snapdragon 810 seeing as they had a superior in house product. However if these tests conclude that the 820 lives up to it's promise, then does it really matter if they go back to Qualcomm?

kakouille, 25 Aug 2015this site is full of samsung haters, theyre jealous,Sam is t... moreThis page I full of phone enthusiasts that are clever enough not fall in the fanboy stage. Since my Motorola milestone I owned and used phones of this companys:
Motorola
Samsung (first was the first galaxy s which was a real beast with serious ram problems)
Htc
LG
Huawei
Xiaomi
Jiayu (hope I got the name right)
Apple
Ulefone
Maybe I forgot one brand.. Some of them have been better, some have been worse but I never stuck to one specific brand. It's a joke to call me a Samsung hater because I think Samsung is the brand I had the most phones and I spend the most money on..
Galaxy s
Galaxy s2
Galaxy note 1
And after a long Samsung brake the galaxy s6
So I spend more than 2000 euros on Samsung phones over the last couple of years, that's nothing a Samsung hater would do. But that also does not mean that I tell everyone I bought the best phone, if I feel, the s6 is not good in some aspects I will tell this to the people, I wouldn't have bought it if I would have known the problems of this phone before..

lg g user, 25 Aug 2015that is correct galaxy s6 has that issue too bad for a 3 to... moreits not like the s6 is a whole big lag, after all its a fast phone but by far not as fast as you would expect and the htc one s just surprised me as a very snappy phone with this age. that should not mean, the one s is faster than the galaxy s6, the difference is jsut much smaller than you would think it is when you only see the benchmarks.
also, the samsung exynos is at this time the best chip on the markt, it is jsut better than the snapdragon 810 but it is not better because it is that brilliant, its only better because the snapdragon is like the worst chip since the snapragon s3 back than in the htc sensation compared with the other chip manufacturers...
here the topic is the snapdragon 820 and even if it seem like samsung would have a big lead in comparison wioth the crappy snapdragon 810, this lead is because of the much better manufacturing process. when you look at the architecture of the cpu, its a draw, gpu wise the qualcomm chip has the more efficient solution and the integration with the other modems is also better. so if qualcomm would have made the 810 on a 14nm basis, the chip would have been better than the samsung chip.
its 2016 and samsung hasnt finished its own custom cpu, they can switch to the cortex a72 cores witch should be better than the a57 but not by a big lead when it comes to efficiency. (all those presentations compare the a57 at 20nm with the a72 in 14/16nm ;) ). when we look at qualcomm, they will get acces to the same manufacturing process than samsung uses for the exynos, so from this ponit they have the better chip without doing anything, now they "only" have to make their own custom cores better than the standart cortex cores which they have proofen they are able to do in the past.
to cut this long story short, 2015, samsung had the better chip but its much likely that qualcomm will make the better chip in 2016, in 2017, we can expect a custom architecture from samsung and this is where its getting really interesting :D
