Works fine in Germany and with my Samsung Galaxy S4.
Needed good office apps (OfficeSuite Pro, MS Office for tablets, Polaris, WPS didn't match what I expect) and downloaded Presentations HD (presentaion app) and PlanMaker HD (spreadsheet) for free: BINGO!
Incredibly good compatibility with PowerPoint and Excel formats, no formatting losses, and the complete scope of features of the Windows version!!!!!
Also downloaded Angry Birds, Bad Piggie and Badland for playing a bit from time to time, and a good calendar app.
The only thing I'm worried a bit are the many permissions you have to give to Amazon and how they use the data to refinance this investment.

Im on PH. The Amazon app updated without the need of going to the link but it doesnt show me the list of the free apps. I think the free apps are indeed restricted to specific countries only.

Hehe, I can use this app even if I am not in US, by faking location. But you need a rooted Android device. :)

Actually amazon wrote back. It's only for 4 countries and they didn't promise there would be more countries approved. Not good.

Probably you should mention that the service is only available in US, UK, Germany and France.

It doesn't work for me. Geographical restrictions. I'm Polish and Poland is on the list of countries approved only it isn't. And I read comments from users who can't dl apps when their countries are approved - so it's not only my problem. i contacted amazon but no solution so far, not even a mail from them. I'll wait a day and then probably contact them again. I'd like to have Where's My Water 1 and 2 and Where's my Perry and maybe some games.

Yes it is definitely in the U.S only I just tried to use it here in Canada and it says that I cannot download the apps due to geographical restrictions.....great

I think it's currently available in the US only. Installed the Underground app, I can't install any one of those "Actually Free" apps, let alone see the list

I can't understand the point of this or how they're making money off of this. I was surprised today though that the free app of the day wasn't available on the Amazon store on my G4. I'll check out that underground app :/..
