I think this is again a fake phone, like clones, where they sell same looking phone with poorest of hardwares.. And if Samsung is really having any such plans, Sammy, its 2015 champ..

Samsung have u gone nuts !! There r much better devices available in this price segment.. redmi 2 prime & canvas spark for an instance...
it should have at least quad core processor and a gig of ram to compete with other devices...

It won't be successful in Indian Market. Samsung phones are so over priced. Who would use a 512mb RAM phone at this price tag ! Redmi 2, Yu Yuphoria, Canvas Spark, Android One, Moto E, Lumia 535, are much better and some of them having lesser price tag than J1 ace .. !

you can get redmi 2 prime for 7k in india. 2gb ram, 16gb internal, 8mp front camera, 720p screen.

There are easily better phones in this range like moto e, redmi 2, & and android one series. All have better specs than this. The only advantage j1 ace has is super amoled screen.
512mb RAM and kit kat(which wont be updated) is less for this price.

Yes, its close to the SII which is 4 years old now, but you can be sure it wont perform like it: this is the most basic phone in their portfolio, so no one expects anything from it. The SII on the other hand was their very best when launched, it was super optimized and even today you can use it without getting an instant headache (it does have 1 gig of ram though, but that's still low for 2015). Plus, the J1 launches with kk and it won't move an in further.
You can get a moto E 2nd gen for $100 on amazon; it has a better screen (245 ppi vs 215 of the J1, besides its an IPS vs a super amoled - the pen tile at this resolution doesn't look as good), SD 410 (quad core 1.2, way better than the chipset inside the J1), 1gb ram, 8gb internal, 600mah more battery capacity, and timely updates.
If you compare the two... You have to be pretty thick to get the J1. That's my opinion at least.
