The photos come from an iPhone parts store in Taiwan. The panel looks almost identical to the iPhone 6 Plus panel.

Force touch. Technology available since 1995 and used in 2 Sega consoles.

But of course to the Apple Fanbois it's an Apple "innovation" and everyone else is copying. . . .

Anonymous, 02 Sep 2015probably not especially if it cracks a lot of cheap made sc... moreTry force touch on Macbook trackpad. It really clicks like a normal button. When you turn it off, its hard as a rock.. no movement.

No, you do not need to click so hard. Even a soft tap is registered and give you that clicking feeling.

Just to clarify.. this is not like haptic feedback vibrate BS you feel. Its on another level.

How is this useful on a smartphone... or even is the haptic engine included.. we have to see. And yes i agree its gonna be gimmicky if not done right.

and just to add insult to injury . the article right underneath this shows that a chinese phone with force touch will be released prior to the iphone, they never get a break someone else always does everything first. poor apple sheep

PICASSO BABY, 01 Sep 2015So i guess samsung will be copying this force touch feature... moreprobably not especially if it cracks a lot of cheap made screens. even though i fail to find anything really that samsung copied from apple which wasnt done on a different manufacturer first. maybe you can enlighten me. and this just seems to gimicky to be of any real use to a phone. seems that a simple software short touch long touch would do the same thing.

Picasso baby, 02 Sep 2015But you miss my point Samsung won't do it until apple do it. While Apple and Samsung arguing who is going to do it first, Huawei MateS take the spotlight being the first to implement Force Touch. Lose to China brands. Poor US and Korea.

ME, 01 Sep 2015Force Touch exists in Android from 2.3 (4 years ago)Force touch requires specific hardware, which phone has deployed this before?

There's a difference between a short and long press vs a light and hard press.

In any case, Apples Force Touch will be the better implementation in any case. They always do it better haha
