The smartphone isn't exactly new, having been introduced a few weeks back, but the pricing info is.

I agree that the Huawei G8 is not just a mid-range smartphone since the specifications are quite above the average to be just mid-range smartphone as can be seen here http://versus.com/en/huawei-g8. It still has impressive specifications although not as impressive as that of the company's flagship smartphone, the Huawei Mate S. The price is quite high for my taste though. The price is already that of a high-end phone with almost top-notch specs, like say, a Snapdragon 801 at least, instead of the slower 615. But maybe huge chunk of the price is for the premium design and materials.

          - full Chinese phone
          - runs Android
          - 399 EUR

Nice joke! No Android phone should cost more than 250 EUR. Anything above that price is unjustified.

Nice looking device with specs comparable to those of the 2015 Nexus 5. I wish it came with vanilla Android 6.0 and sold in the US as well. Depending on dimensions..I won't mind having this as my device.

Huawei is like Samsung. They announced too many models + variations for every 2,3 months. Can't keep track of them.
