Sony's IFA announcements brought a lot of action to this week's chart and moved all the contenders out of the way.

If I'm not wrong they also considered the prvious announcements and it doesn't matter when the device is announced, what is being referred here is how it trends during their respective announcements. Trending could mean both positive or negative, but bottomline why Z5 series become trending are first the 4K display, the custom-made exclusive Exmor sensor etc. And to be fair, there is a competition in IFA when Huawei released their latest smartphone w/ Force Touch. Asus also has different variants if their Zenfone, it's just that, they were not that trending.
