Anonymous, 07 Sep 2015The so called black bar isn't gone from this phone, the are... moreThe bar is gone because the logo now sits on part of the front panel, hence the same color. The logo stays though.
To be honest, if a logo on the front is a deal-breaker, then the likes of Sony Xperias and Samsung Galaxies are no-no as well. They have their logo on the front panel for years too, minus the black bar of course.

Anonymous, 07 Sep 2015looks nice. but looks like HTC + SONYIt just doesn't look like Sony to me. If I piece them apart area by area or part by part, there are hints of Motorola, Lenovo, Huawei and more unpopular brands

Anonymous, 06 Sep 2015nice specification except in the battery department. :(It should be more than enough for 720 display. And don't forget it has mediatek (power efficient processor) too.

This downterm for htc and they are naking mistakes again and again.
1. They ruined htc one m7 with 4mp ultrapixel camera i wonder if normal person couldn't pass the camera photoes how could their QA passed? Ok if it was one trial but next year m8 they did same mistake keeping that camera as main.
2. They got high class looking phones but failed to price with consumers attractive price . They tried to follow i phone strategy with higher pricing where i phone had established market with same brand and quality they ofdering and htc was enterinv in the market in that range.
3. Apple can offer that high price their customer service is way better than htc samsung or anyother like straight replacement where people like that for bit of extra price they paying.and apple has stores in each big cities.vs htc in Australian has only one warrenth repair in australia in nsw so to fix a repir it takes atleast 1 week ? Paying such high price nobpdy would like to stay away from their phone or have to buy another that time.
4.now with innovation Marketing is good atrategy otherwise hard to rech to end consumer.
5. Come on htc we need competition oyher wise you lost faith share market. What will be next?

The so called black bar isn't gone from this phone, the area under the screen is still identical to any of the phones with a bar, like m7 m8 m9...they just have the whole thing as the same color/material now. What we want by them removing the true black bar is not having the htc logo at all, like the moto x style or play.

This is nice, could be the beginning of a new design language for them. But I do wonder if they pulled this as some sort of test run to see if it sells like hotcakes and if they aimed to gain positive (or negative) feedbacks from the new design because I am honestly and ultimately spoiled now. Why couldn't they surprise us with this new design language on their One or their Aero? Why did it have to be on their non-flagship Desire? Or does HTC have something more shockingly in store for us for their next flagship?
