AnonD-391800, 10 Sep 2015Wait, wait....iphone did not have long press functionality ... moreits funny to see how blind you are. seriously use one and judge. it is not long press. it is a form of technology. huawei bought the first force touch phone. this is 3d touch which is like an enhancement to force touch. apple just brought it to the next level and commercialized it. you can ignore your comment when other android manufacturer's such as samsung who's hesitant to copy from apple (apple pay- samsung pay, siri - s voice, fingerprint etc etc) comes up with their ripoff from 3d touch - "s force" or s press or whatever with their cheesy names. it will be followed by htc lg sony etc etc.

Iphone 6s heat up the news section for a couple days then, boom. All quiet. No one is interested too much in it. No wonder there is no iphone 7.

basically a movable image(smoother gif) and a screen that does same work as holdding touch...(every video I saw on youtube, users had to hold force touch for a period of time same as on normal screens)...

One requires a period of time before giving you options while the other actually feels how hard you are pressing the screen and shows you different options accordingly.

It allows people with wet hands in swimmimg pool for example to answer calls, kitchen work is easier while using phone with air gesture as your hand is dirty, while you using gloves or holding something in hands, and various other situation where you don't want to touch your screen.

When you can just implement those actions for a press and hold and it will be much easier than applying pressure. I tried it on my phone, and it's extremely, extremely uncomfortable to do, and as I said earlier it saves absolutely no time compared to press and hold. I seriously doubt anyone will ever use it, it seems just as gimmicky as Samsung's S4 air features, where you'd hover your hand over the screen and things would happen.

The 3D touch thing looks like it would be much faster to just press it, then press back to look at stuff. Like the old fashioned way of doing things. I'm not a hater but i think this works much better on the iwatch where there is less room to navigate. I think this will just be a gimmick that people will get bored of.

I give them the 3D Touch. I don't care about the naming, gimmick or what not, it's evolving, and it's good. And Huawei has already picked this up, and actually beat Apple to it, and probably Galaxy S7 will feature this and many other phones to come. Either their own take or the same technology. But the camera is still behind. It's proven that megapixels aren't just numbers and they mean something. And the gallery is just HTC One(m7).
