Do I have to backup all the content (photos, vids, stuff) before upgrading from 8.3?
my phone already uses 30gb and i have only 5 on icloud. Didnt backup for months.

Kind of misleading when they claim they will begin seeding to 'everyone'. Will the update include those using Android, Windows, or BlackBerry OS? Kidding aside, I hope iPhone 4 is on the list

Apple even was very boring in fact, nothing new at all!! Nothing ... and same battery ... unbelievable ...very bad strategy.
shame on you apple, they are trying to pus us to buy iPhone 7 from now ....
I think it is time to consider Samsung devices now... specially the new ones.

Nexus : All ... moreHmm it might be a lot smarter to go for whatever device that fits your needs the best as is when you buy it.
But sure if there are several candidates that all fits you equally well, so potential updates are the only decisive reason you have to choose a specific device - you are right.

NATH, 10 Sep 2015the update will delete all the info ?As much as I usually poke at aPple, this is one thing they usually gets right. :-)
The update I previously have done left (almost) ALL user-settings and data unchanged.
With the exception of the added icons for their bloatware among the stuff you actually use, that you have to manually move to a bloat folder (at least that is allowed....), and (if I recall right) a few privacy settings.
...But do yourself a favour and make an extra backup just in case...
