I gotta confess, whilst I'm happy to see the new iPhone get more ram, having a smaller battery just to keep the form factor.... That really burns! Guess I'll be waiting for the iPhone 7 now.

Thin with a OK battery or chub... more"chubby" phone with a great battery=much thinner and lighter than a thin, "premium" phone+a power bank.
Trust me, i know - i'm constantly using my phone hooked to a power bank (Because of ridiculous 2 hours of hard usage) and it's pain in the ass. Not to mention the phone itself, although "thick" by today's standards, is still uncomfortably thin.
The world has totally gone mad and lost any common sense.

The battery is even smaller that 6's, at just 1715 mAh compared with 1810 mAh, and. the chipset is much more hungry.
The battery life will be lousy.

Thin with a OK battery or chuby with long battery
I would like an endurance iPhone s6
9mm thick 160 grams
But a battery of 2440 mAh
That would give iPhone 6s a 40% longer lasting battery

If you have to charge it 2+ times a day (With current ridiculous authonomy) then there is no way it will last that much. Not even 2 years (Without a significant capacity reduction).

What are you going to do after removing your battery? gonna sell it for your food? The phone comes minimum 4 years. I am using my 4s for complete 4 years and still my battery stands for 2 days with iOS 8.4. What best you are trying to say from non removable batteries?

100mAh is less than 5% decrease, so don't sweat it. The non-Plus iPhones always have a poor to average battery life so it wont make a difference. If you want performance, get the Plus.
