WOW, looks like a DOWNGRADED version of my omnia HD!!!, aka 'smaller' NON AMOLED touchscreen, with 'smaller' 1200mah battery, with 'smaller' flash memory (well actually none at all), and 'smaller' (well weaker non-surround sound speakers), all at a SMALLER price???
But RAM, HD recording, and CPU exact same (except CA8 overclocked to 720mhz, and omnia HD is underclocked to 550mhz)...

I am designer and I know the designs Sony do in their sets and they are not just designs, they have calculated many things like where to place buttons, what is the right position for mic, that tiny hole is just right. Well yes they sometimes overlook a couple of accessories but I am sure it is something to do with the circuit board designing. They can make slim phones like you-know-who but they are not because of battery live, because of strength. These all add cost, even designing add lot of cost.
I hope they recover fast and control over flaws like delay launching, software bugs and in-time-updates and they will steal market easily.

Pretty good HARDWARE but only worth if they promised me this thing will also run the new symbian OS (the one coming out in a year) otherwise i just want out of Symbian 5th...its a failed mission. Hardware is only as good as the software on top of it...Love the 720p capture but just cant stand Symbian 5th. For this reason am getting the X10 when it comes out otherwise i would have gone for this.

"Vivaz" is a portuguese/spanish adjective that means "vivacious" or "full of life.

It's almost February so the phone will be out in March. That's like two months.. The release date seems to be ok.. The phone is really awesome and is soo good looking phone!! Damn SE's designs are just awesome!

I just can't explain it. When I use SE the user experience is just really awesome and different from others and I just love it! The best part is their designs! And the interface is just so full of flashy and cool animations. And the camera and sound quality are the best. You just feel so unique and like the best when using SE.
But using others.. It feels sooo dull and boring. I feel like I'm just another somebody who has a phone. Even with all that features.. it just doesn't "feel" right. I don't get that "WOW" when using it. You don't get that feeling where you're unique and awesome.

if you look over Sony Ericsson's portfolio, you will hardly find any phone that is inspired or look-like an iPhone, which is why I love Sony Ericsson, they are always original and even in their rough times they stick to bring us original designs in mobile phones which are just stylish, unique, different, functional and beautiful.
I am not sure about others but there is something about Sony, when you keep a mobile from Sony you automatically feel some sort of VIP among others. Lol. Others give you that look like you are SOMEONE.

A very welcome addition to the lineup. Good to see a powerful touchscreen phone that has a different look - definitely Marat Fidarov-inspired design. Symbian is quite regrettable, but at least the UI looks quite different from most S60 phones. Good to know it will be launched in Q1, but it might not get to the U.S. for another 6 months. We'll ask our translator about the meaning of the name Vivaz, but quite possibly it doesn't really mean anything.

If SE learns from past mistakes and sell this phone at the RIGHT PRICE, this will sell a lot. Otherwise, if they stick to their overpricing policy ... only failure awaits them.

This one Vivaz, it looks very nice but I think you should learn how to keep your secret well before you really going to sell it.
I mean, How many times that I have to wait for ages to see your real phone come out into the market???
Usually, I feel like I have to wait for more than a year after a leak like this post on website...and so other brands keep releasing their new ones...and some they don't eben have a-year-leak before the real phone hit the market.
It just how I feel... Please make sure your phone work nicely, before you send into the market. I want you to surprise me! Like announce today and within 3 months...you sell!
I love you, really do... just try not to announce so soon.
Well, I don't expect the change but this phone looks lovely indeed.
So many times I feel like changing to iPhone, I love the way they announce new products...it's exciting!
I have faith in you Sony Ericsson...you can do the same.

It is sleek and elegant. Feels like they will go for the female market with this one. Smart strategy because no one else really does.
Innovative thinking and neat design. With a midrange price this could be a volume seller.

i have used symbian,android n iphone...but i love symbian S60 UI...its very user friendly..i used its version 3...dont know how version 5 is..but symbian is far better than android n iphone.
