Samsung are just absolutely incompetent in the low-mid range phone area, their phones are overpriced and under-specced also featuring massive bezels which means their minis are not at all mini. They had it right with the S4

There are not many Xiaomi service centre anyway so where do you go if it broke. Samsung service centre is everywhere. Much easier for user. Beside, J2 use the latest Touchwiz with android 5.1.

There are better options available beyond Samsung, which continues to believe that it can take Indians for a ride. Even for its higher end mobiles, the prices crash by 20% in two months post launch.

qHD is one quarter of a Full HD. And there is no such standard resolution with 960x480 pixels. qHD is 960 pixels wide and 540 pixels tall in a 16:9 aspect ratio

Ultra DATA saving mode is nothing but compression of data using Opera Max. You can have "ultra data saving mode" in any Android phone if you use Opera Max. AMOLED display is a welcome change but qHD resolution ain't attractive, at least HD resolution (1280x720) would have been acceptable. As for the chipset, I doubt its performance. TouchWiz UI itself occupies a lot of RAM, causing lag. 5 MP Camera is too low for these days. Better options like Redmi 2 Prime, Yu Yuphoria, available for (Rs 6999).

Samsung feels Indians are stupid. They feel they can sell this at inr 8500 at lower price Xiaomi Redmi 2 prime is available. Prime cost just inr 6999. Prime has 2gb ram, better 8mp shooter. Better screen, hd compared to qhd. 16 gb internal plus further memory expandibilty via micro SD and otg. 4g dual sim connectivity. Amazing phone at unbelievable price, kudos to Xiaomi for manufacturing it in India. Samsung's time is over now, they are going to get drowned soon. Only a revolution can save Samsung. They are just looters, they never provide any software updates to their phones, after 10 days of usage this Samsung crap will start lagging like hell. Guys just avoid this money minded company. They think people are fool, people can buy any lagwiz device.

Nice of samsung to release a lollipop powered entry level mobile. Plus with excellent specs.
I hope sony would release a similar entry level phone with omnibalance . Because i am a fan of sony
omnibalance design.
Sony always goes wrong with there design in the entry level market.samsung wins so.
E1 was too chubby.
E3 those chunky bezels and odd resolution ruined the experience.
E4 was ugly lumia style design. And poor display than e3.
I was hoping what the next phone would be like from sony.
Anyway good move by samsung.
