This might very much be true, since the new meizu might flaunt a 1080 display instead of the 2K one. And that is an alternative Samsung should've provided long time ago.

vrvly, 14 Sep 2015After months of new(old now) exynos/S810 with a new chip co... moreSure it looks that way but I've noticed that Socs are more exciting before their launch (only exception being exynos 7420 recently) and their are still 6 months before s7 or the next bunch of flagships come in. As for z5p it does not excite me but surely I would agree that even the ever so exciting note series was not so special this year.

geekbench is a bit pointless. score maths aren't represetative. it also works poorly on x86.

better to go with detailed antutu score for cpu, ram and runtime synthetics and with 3dmark and gfxbench for 3d.

Jesus Christ... Why people still get this benchmarks in to the account... Its not only show dumb numbers that have nothing to do with reality, but its also just add to the useless flames to fire of USELESS raw power marathon that Android have right now...

Because In current state, Android is limited by its own stupidity of not moving to more PC system like linux(I mostly talking to app devs that still live in in times when phone is just toy).
There is no real point of creating more powerful hardware If system doesnt use it.

For now only reason why Android producers play with this is because phone need hide android bugs, lags and lack of optimization behind this raw power.

App that are current available for Android could work on half of what eg samsung s6 have. Even 2k or 4k screen is not real excuse for that.
Its totally lack of optimization of software that android have and most important system it self is reason for that.

Because its HILARIOUS that clean system to work smooth need that much power.
I would understand if Android would give me capabilities like linux or windows, but its still limited and most of apps are really dumb to make on them real work(try it by yourself to use ONLY android for few weeks, for work, not for daily consumption, for work )

Windows is different platform but its annoying that such new system with so much possibilities can run smooth on old crappy laptop with 2gb ram and old dual core intel, and its still manage to edit 1080 videos, and even play games(Black Mesa)... and android? I think in 2017 its gonna need its own nuclear power plant to open dialer or browser....

PS. Yes, yes its off-top bla bla bla... but dont tell me that you dont see this....

After months of new(old now) exynos/S810 with a new chip coming soon, timing of flagships like Z5/note is not very great. Would they produce, I would take an updated device.
