Launching straight Android M is one way for HTC to somewhat stand out among the competition. Be there first.
Heck if this device launch with, say, Android 5.1 there would be a few people who complain that HTC is not up to date or offering "old" softwares.

I have been a fan for many ye... morewell Im sorry to disapointing you, but they will not doit, they know that consumers will go quickly to the new devices, and consumers do not care about exchange for a new one, I mean the best way you can enjoy your technology toys in general is to accept the one that you have even if new has more to offer, because you are about to frustrate that when you gott the new BETTER device, two months and there is gonna be a new and better one, so technology in THAT way is a waste of money.

think this people is idi3#%$# or something like that, android 6.0? seriously? I mean we start using android 5.0 and when realize that there is an OS update, our devices begins to being obsolet, because in SOME cases, they update the current devices, I mean we have to purchase a new phone every 2 months??? just to being with the best OS update, I personally hate that!!!

All I will say to HTC is, if they want this Phone to be a hit...lay off the bezels and give us a device 5.2" to 5.5" screen with 75+% screen to body ratio, a big 3500+mAh battery and price this phone reasonably...

It's pretty obvious they won't fix their camera anytime soon as it has already taken so many years to even achieve the M9-level. M8 was my latest HTC and most likely the last one, if they don't step up their game.
