Qualcomm's Snapdragon 820 to offer ridiculously fast data speeds, faster charging

15 September, 2015
The company's next top-of-the-line SoC will be capable of speeds up to 600Mbps over LTE-Advanced.

Snapdragon 430 seems more powerful and without using much power which helps in improved battery life than Snapdragon 617 Becuase of their respective GPU Adreno 505 coupled with SD 430 and Adreno 405 coupled with SD 617
and SD 430 has lower clock speed which good for battery life.
Seems some good stuff for the user who don't need to rob a bank to use a good quality smartphones.
Hopes are High for snapdragon 430 in Next Moto G 4th Generation.

AnonD-398362, 15 Sep 2015Qualcomm isn't the only one making mobile processor's. Sam... moreI don't know your source with this 50% performance advantage but when I compare the sd 615 with the heliox10 at gfxbench (they have most likely the biggest database in gpu performance) the adreno gpu has a slight lead in the demanding offscreen (so resolution even 1080p) Manhattan 3.1 test and the power vr is a little bit better in the older 3.0 test.
When you run this test in native resolution, of course, a 1080p sd615 device gets like three times the frame rate than the helio x10.
Another thing to mention ate the huawei chips that are even worse than this and they are used in a ton of huawei 1080p phones.

So you can of course say, the adreno 405 is not the strongest gpu out there but it is stronger than a very big amount of full HD devices that have no problems with most games out there. Considering that the sd 615 or 617 is called a midrange chip while the huawei chips and the helio x10 is used for some high end devices the adreno 405 is of course good enough for it price range...
The adreno 510, the GPU you will find in the better sd 620 is on pair with the adreno 330 in the sd 801 that powers most of last years flagships and is even good enough to support qhd ona acceptable framerate.

Qualcomm has likely learned its lesson from the SD810. At least for a while. So hopes are up for the SD820. Still, better wait for the reviews. Besides, when are these things going to show up in laptops giving Intel some heat?
