Consumers are getting smarter and know about camera better than the last decade. The megapixel war is over but the camera aperture war has just begun. Back few years ago consumer don't even know about camera aperture. We see f/2.4 as regular budget camera aperture. Now the race is to make it bigger. F/1.9 make appearance on most flagship. Now it will be f/1.8 to be even better. Combine that with larger megapixel then you get a super camera.

Anonymous, 16 Sep 2015This phone is ugly with disappointing specs. Specs are ok, except RAM and lack of OIS. Platform is same as LG G4. SD808 has less A57 cores, so less power consumption. Yet it's still has Adreno 420 named 418.
Back side is OK. Just OK. Not ugly, not beautiful. Edges could be nicer. Little bit ugly, buttons especially. And they are on right side, instead of left. But front panel is a disaster. My 3-year old MX2 has beautiful front panel - entirely laminated, entirely black, so you can't even see display edges. It's better even than LG G4 and iPhone 6. But this... Just dated ultra low cost front panel...

front panel looks like ugly cheap 7-year old phone. so dated. cheap glass, gray display, plastic bevels around edges...
even cheap $100 modern chinese phones looks 100500 times better than this.
they should have been use same front panel as on lg g4.

Why are the Android flagships dropping megapixels to match Apple? Nexus 6 was 13mp while both new Nexus have 12/12.4mp. Was Apple right calling Android megapixels-war marketing BS?
