We all can see a boom to certain devices, and later the fall down.
NOKIA , BLACKBERRY are examples.
This brand need to go on, slowly Nokia realized that they lost their monopoly in mobile OS,
& they also entered to Android. Blackberry is a little bit late, but they also entered into Android.
Be Aware of the current situation
competents & the race with in are Android & iOS
Android Vs iOS (both have million apps)
So BB's decision is fine for their existence,
DEAR BB , Plz dont serve ur hot cakes as the way SAMSUNG did.
While taking the top brands, Samsung is the one who always giving cheap looking UI, and cheaper quality materials also.
SAMSUNG writes the die dates also, the S5 will die when S6 came to plates,
So each phone have to take care a lot, sometimes a single drop down will came to total damage. Agreed that SAMSUNG is the TOPPER in innovative ideas, Why they drop the quality. During the time of D500 & D600 in 2004-05 was quality built, When the company grows quality drops.
SO BB SERVE WITH BEST QUALITY MATERIALS IN IT & A STANDARD LOOKING UI

I really hope there'll be a BB10 version, to. BB OS is really the best out there, who really tried it can't go back to Android or iOS, they're too slow in comparison. With BB10 all you need is one finger, to swipe from an app to another (doing the real multitask)

Maybe instead of implimenting a physical keyboard and getting the stupid, gimmicky screen from Samusung maybe they should have asked them for Samsung SoCs instead rather than using SD's second best but only practical 2015 offering and make whats basically a G4/S6 Edge hybrid with a physical keyboard.

AJ, 17 Sep 2015Why would anyone buy this phone? For starters, it's going t... moreYup! I literally think they live on patent royalies and Gov support these days. I was never into the whole Blackberry thing so I literally don't care whatsoever about their business practices but yeah, this is about 3 years too late and you know it'll be up there in the iPhone 6S Plus price bracket with just barely flagship specs. I suppose it'll be nice for that generation of people who treat modern touchscreens like their rigged to blow if you touch the right on screen key. On that subject why do some people finger type instead of thumb type? It looks so unnatural and awkward. This phone would probably be ideal for that crowd but out of their price range. This'll bomb. BB is a relic of the past now and should probably stay there.

Why would anyone buy this phone? For starters, it's going to be grossly overpriced, like all of BB's recent (and atrocious) offerings. Secondly, who still believes that hardware keyboards are better than on-screen? You won't type faster on BB's hardware keyboards unless you intentionally type slower on the on-screen alternative.
Thirdly, the curved screen thing is a gimmick that's going to go away as soon as Samsung's sales start to decline as a result of re-using it (which is going to happen). Why would anyone in their right mind want images at the edge of their screen to appear warped (i.e. lost real-estate) in exchange for a bunch of gimmicky edge gestures that offer no real benefit over traditional input methods. This is another case of BB throwing darts at a board to see what sticks... and trust me, it won't stick.
The switch to Android is the ONLY thing this phone has going for, and that's far, FAR too little-too late for BB. That switch should have happened years ago (just ask Nokia). BB is a company that should be out of business by now. It's been so long since the company produced anything other than huge financial losses, their continued operation only seems possible if the Canadian gov't is subsidizing them.
Anyone that still believes BB makes good software or hardware is either as dumb as rocks or a hopeless contrarian. It's over for BB. Deal with it.

Anonymous, 17 Sep 2015Yeah, well... Android is lacking in a lot of fields. It cur... moreIt depends on what you define as 'superior'. If you mean you're limited to doing barely anything in face of added security then yeah Android is behind. In terms of a computing device OS Android is more like using an actual PC OS than the other two. Which is kind of embarressing for two companies who make have been making PC OSs for far longer than Google.

Can anyone confirm yet if Blackberry is gonna add a UI overlay, or is it gonna be just pure stock Android + hard key support?
