That is all nice yeah it is reversible new style BUT smartphone manuf are STILL making it as USB 2.0 jeesus christ when you ppl will get it ! It is NOT usb 3.1 protocol !! You will NEVER get faster speeds or faster charge BECAUSE it is STILL usb 2.0 !
I hate these gimmick lies with this usb type c !
Am asking why it is NOT straight in smartphone USB 3.1 type C and normal USB 3.1 cable?
DO you realize that when u will be connecting adapter to MICRO usb 2.0 u STILLL have to look which way u plugging ?? That part is NOT reversible .. ANd the connector will be MEGA HUUGE
So I was asking WHY this why stupid adapters .. why NOT straight type c in mobile and type c in cable for god sake .. read my first post properly ..

It should be i... moreGiven how the two styles of socket are different shapes and slightly different sizes, despite similar uses, that's not exactly doable, one imagines. Much like how you couldn't have a dual use USB-A and USB-B port, or Mini- and Micro-USB, or any of the myriad serial ports from the dim and distant computing past.

This defeats the purpose of usb-c connector. It should be in the phone and adapter should convert it back into micro-usb, not the other way around.

Somone ... moreKindly enlighten yourself with what USB-Type C is capable of and don't talk rubbish, Type C is the new super high speed standard, but what if u don't have the type -c cable with you or it got damaged or u lost it, this adapter comes in handy...keeping it safe is ur responsibility, good that they provide the adapter along with it...

Somone ... moreBecause USB-Type C is the future, you can now for example charge your phone on your monitor that support usb type C, while mirroring your phone to monitor, it's reversible so you didn't need to be confused again which side goes to which, so I guess what they're doing there is future-proofing their devices while make sure they're still backward compatible, it's a matter of times before all manufactured (maybe even apple considering they're using the type-C on their macbook lineup) equipped their phone with USB-type C :).
