I think and strongly feel this is a worth while move in the right direction, to keep the monopoly active in the technology market.
Creates pricing wars and makes thing far more competitive. In-return the consumer will get a fairer deal

eheh, 21 Sep 2015those European architects made burj kalifa, and they hire S... moreim sorry, but that isnt how it works, apple lays out to several bidders( or in this case the only one capable of the 14nm mosfett process ) what they want. they dont design it , and say here build this. what happens is basic specs are provided, then it is the company which is to manufacture the partt which designs it , and produces several prototypes for the engineers of the buying company to evaluate. and deem which is best for there product. all the design work is done at the producing company. the original specifications and evaluations of the product are done at the buying company. I guess i have worked in this field far to long. 6 years dmos5/DP1/KFAB Texas instruments 6 Years Honeywell sensors department / 7 years Finisar VCSEL department. i know a little about how this works.

The fact that Samsung supplied iphones electronic parts but somehow, Samsung finds it fun to tease their client by bashing them in the new Samsung ads (Its not a phone, its a Galaxy) and Twitter triple-troll-tweets from Samsung, Sony, and Huawei regarding iphone 6s. So, Apple have no rights to say anything to Samsung. If Samsung don't supply them, who will?

It's not worth developing the technology which have no obvious usage just like the edge screen. The edge screen might not make an appearance too next year. Instead, they developed Turtle Glass to beat Gorilla Glass.

No research that contribute to the whole tech world. I will only agree that Apple make touchscreen popular and thats it. Even ipod is copied. Mp3 player is invented in 1997 by Saehan(Korean company). Samsung made the world first mp3 phone in 1999. Ipod only came in 2001.
