22 September, 2015
One US customer got a nice surprise today from Apple and AT&T, already having received an iPhone 6s.

AnonD-191847, 22 Sep 2015Wait, what? Galaxy S6- 73h endurance rating Iphone 6 - 61h... moreOr......maybe I have hands on experience with both devices, and I have actually owned two Galaxy S6's, I returned the first as I thought it had a fault with its battery, turns out that's just how bad it is. (quoted figures aside).

The S6 has the worst battery life of any mobile device I have ever owned (I have owned many, across both IOS and Android).

I averaged less than 3 hours of on screen time with my second S6, the only other device I have used that could match that was the Nexus 5.

My iPhone 6 mind, whilst not a battery life champion, was league's ahead of the S6.

    2,292 single-core score, and 4,293 for multi.

HOLY MOLY CYCLONE IS DUAL CORE AND BEAT MANY 4 and 8 core cpu from android. WHOAAA.

Anonymous, 22 Sep 2015I want to live to see the day when Apple just for fun reduc... morelol why would they lower the prices for fun???!!!
they are milking customers for fun already,
double the price less the features
apple has about 20% of market share and 80% of profits,
that clearly shows they are milking customers FOR FUN,
they sell less they gain more 20% sales 80% profits, isn't that a bit too clear to see?
all android devices on the other side are price competitively cause smart buyers woudn't pay 1000$ for a 500$ phone,

Wow. I am impressed with the performance of the iPhone 6S. 2 cores can stil beats the 8 cores.

Fewer higher performing cores in place of many smaller lower performance cores is a market model applied by multiple companies in this business, not just apple (like Intel for instance).

But yes I am impressed by the fact that other SOC vendors are knocking out 8-10 core solutions, however this does not take away form the fact that Apple can achieve much the same levels of performance and power efficiency from a dual core solution.

All these benchmarks and crap .. When they will be actually usable the device will get outdated... Crazzy Geeks.

AnonD-191847, 22 Sep 2015You realize the A9 is quite a lot slower than Android flags... moreYes the S6 still benches higher in geekbench 3 at multi core performance.

But the S6 is crippled device, crippled by its own battery and ridiculous screen resolution, consider this, the iPhone 5S can deliver steadier on screen frame rates than the S6.

Now I'm expecting the iPhone 6S to struggle to match the iPhone 6 battery life, but even if it only manages 80% of the iPhone 6 battery performance that would still make it twice as good in this regards as the asthmatic Galaxy S6 (a device best compared to the dismal Nexus 5 in terms of battery performance)

Apple uses huge, power-hungry, extremely high performance cores while the others use small, extremely power efficient, medium performance cores, that they couple with very small, minimum power consumption, weak performance cores for even better battery life.

Basically it's like choosing between two big people and 4 average people and 4 skinny people to lift something The result will be the same even though the approach is different. If you're impressed by Apple, than you muyst also by impressed by the fact that others managed to fit 8 or 10 cores in the same space as Apple put 2.

Take a look at Iphone 6 it had 4 hours in webbrowsing wile the Note 4 with the octacore had over 10 hours in webbrowsing.

The most important part in a smartphone is battery.
