Microsoft Office 2016 for Windows is now available

22 September, 2015
Right on time, Microsoft Office 2016 is now available for Windows, following the Mac release from July. You can either get it as part of an Office 365 subscription, or you can go with a one-time purchase. The latter option has become available for Mac today as well, since up until this point you had to go the Office 365 route. The one-time price is $149.99 regardless of which OS you have.

No, hank you. Do yoy know how many computers still using Windows 7? Its like a majority of them. I'm using Office 2014 on Windows 8 and I find it bothersome everytime I try to print something at the printing store. All my documents format went chaos. Its not compatible at all. I need to redo everything evertime I switch computers. It so bothersome. No way I'm using this new Office 2016.

In fact I'm very doubtful that is the final price (for the full suite) given how cheap that is for what you get!
(They could work on their upgrade pricing to make it equally worthwhile though.)

Way too expensive, not just on price but also maintenance costs. 15GB at minimum and grows, grows, grows. Click-To-Run is mandatory now. All updates and distros should be stored on same drive as Office itself and cannot be deleted.
