First Samsung Gear S2 batch snatched in two hours in South Korea

I got in on one of these preorder deals in Korea. It was through KT, a mobile service provider. They only had 500 units for preorder but the promotion was pretty good. Got a 10% discount, a 2nd wireless charger, and a pair of Sennheiser earbuds thrown in. Final price converted to $281 US for the S2 Classic.

Do you see a normal watch with a square face design sell extremely well? No. Because it is ugly. Even square face non-smartwatch is not selling well. You in denial round face watch is better. Soon Apple make round face watch and you will say it is better.

U cant compare this to Apple Watch as this is Geeeeeky looking device (even Classic version) where Apple Watch is a design/fashion statement.... Two different worlds! This is one will suit kids etc. where A Watch is designed for grown ups with design and fashion taste in mind . Anyone denying that is either blind child or a fanboy. End of story!

You're just looking at how fanatic Apple fans are. Normal people living functional lives do not, cannot and do not want to wait in a queue for 10 days.
I don't understand why you think that is something to gloat over. Even worse, its just a hypothetical scenario in the head of an Apple fanboy.
On topic, I've never really been interested in a smart watch. Surprised that they've flourished this much and wondering whether they'll become the norm in the next decade or so, they do seem handy if it wasn't yet another device with a battery you need to worry about.

The 1,000 unit is the number of online preorder within 2hours. It is not sold out. The original article from the source said the online preorder is over within 2 hours. Maybe the unit of the smartwatch is limited on the online shop.
