Tom, 27 Sep 2015Don't even say that! Take that comment down before a YouTub... moreI already sometimes get unskippable ads, usually 30 seconds or less but I'm sure there has been a 1 minute one too.

DDL, 27 Sep 2015I have a feeling we will soon see news about "SKIP AD" butt... moreDon't even say that! Take that comment down before a YouTube executive sees it and thinks it's a great idea!.... I couldn't bear to have to watch full adverts on YouTube. :(

Just use an Adblocker like everyone.... or am I missing something here?

All of us know that Google earn most of its profits from ads, if this happens then there would definitely be huge lost for Google and for publishers as well.

Anonymous, 27 Sep 2015Maybe smartphone maker will soon introduce a new toggle set... moreNow that's just plain stupid..... You do know that Google makes MOST of its profit by advertising? So it's not logical that they would make an option to limit ads, as googles customers would stop using its services for advertising.

AnonD-411799, 26 Sep 2015when you open a youtube link in chrome(android) it launches... moreActually you can choose what you want, in browser or in app. Just reset default settings in chrome and yt

DDL, 27 Sep 2015I have a feeling we will soon see news about "SKIP AD" butt... moreMaybe smartphone maker will soon introduce a new toggle setting that allows adblocking. An 'Adblock' toggle would be nice. I hope Google make that for android Marshmallow updates. They already make powersaving mode and such. I also heard Samsung had made Data saving mode too. Why not make adblock mode?

You do have to be rooted though. For non-rooted devices, something like Adblock Browser for Android would probably be the best choice.

You tube is owned by google. And when we say google it means something . But a company which created android can't even have an option to choose the quality of the video I want to play . If I choose 360p then for the ncxt video I have to reset it again . How dumb can that be ? Even ssne third part apps and web browsers have that option . These apps really have long way to go . But is it so difficult to figure that out ?

There is a website called www.vessel.com. There you may see many videos from different video creators(or Youtubers) .However, it is based on monthly subscription fee and I think this move by Youtube is made to hurt that site . (like how Youtube game will affect Twitch).
And also to get somehow money from people who use Adblock but still able to pay money.
