Microsoft has its own take on Google Cardboard

28 September, 2015
Virtual reality might be the path for a richer multimedia future, but, currently, most hardware kits are quite out of reach for every-day consumers, be it because of a hefty price tag, lack of content or daunting hardware and software setups. In this respect, mobile phone-based headsets sparked, like the Gear VR and other more user-friendly devices, like the HTC Vive sparked a new push towards simplification, but neither have done quite as much to popularize virtual reality as Google Cardboard.

Where is the expensive Hololens that you promised us, Microsoft? Is that a flop just like Google Glass? Bring it out and sell it at $99 just like Samsung Gear VR and everyone will buy it for sure.

And regarding "Not to mention how it could get wet and become paper mesh or crash by pets at home.", not to sound rude or anything, but you have to take care of your things, Microsoft cannot take care of them inside your own house. :D

Spherical photos in lumias are not great so its not for them...

Sure. Gives use a very fragile cardboard to play with. Then, when the kids start to play eith it, the cardboard will rip apart and destroyed. It better be as cheap as $10 or no one buying it. Not to mention how it could get wet and become paper mesh or crash by pets at home.
