Seriously, when I was considering getting the Omnia HD or N97, I clearly made the wrong choice when it came to after sales service...Omnia HD might have all the hardware in the world, but they can't even get ONE firmware update out before Nokia gets like 2-3?!?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME SAMSUNG!!!!! >

Whats the point of OTA when every update seems to be via usb cable first, what if my pc is broken thats why i love over the air updates' its like nokia don't care.
To the guy requesting divx suport your right with al these big touch screens they stil force us to convert afther downloading a movie things take to freaking long... Nokia!

ok well i just put this update on my phone and first thoughts are that the scrolling is a lot better and the phone as a whole seems to run smooth. the only thing i have spotted is the facebook app doesnt seem to let me log in i get an error message saying,
"an unrecoverable error occurred. it might help to reboot your device.".
unfortunately a reboot does not fix this problem

[deleted post]Speaking of not doing anything right or being a waste of space, how about the punctuation and spelling mistakes of your own ill-thought out response? Dude obviously there is at least one thing you cannot do and that is spell words correctly. Anyway I think he was mocking bazooka for being second...not stating that he himself was second. Essentially he did what you tried to do to him...but better...and didnt sound like a pseudo-condescending tool.

hope the mini gets one too... because it certainly needs one :(
and hope it becomes over thwe air too.. as that nokia suite thingy doesnt work with win7 x64 OR my snow leopard :(:(:(

benny , 01 Feb 2010instead te put divx support they fix nothing shame on you nokia "Nokia N97 is working great with the new firmware V2.1. Using opera mobile is just a delightful experience surfing, even opening engadget. UI is smooth and fast now. I´ve got now 58 MB free ram for multi tasking. I've tried maps 3.3, opera mobile, facebook, gravity and music player at the same time.... worked perfectly.
I believe is something that iPhone can´t do....
and yes i own an iphone previously to the Nokia n97"
"Nokia n97 V2.1 - 7 hours after the installation.
I personally recommend a bit geek stuff and to do a hard reset to your phone before updating to the new firmware.
Things that i´ve noticed:
- Main theme has changed, for better.
- After booting there´s 58 mb free ram / idle
- Kinetic scroll is smooth and the transitions are fast.
- Gps and navigation works very good outdoors even when is snowing / cloudy ( almost max. signal)

Didn't know a new firmware version was available. I checked twice yesterday on the Nokia site and was today no update where available.sent my phone to the Nokia care here in nigeria cause my applications no longer open since i reinstalled the current firmware.
