really? if you look the sale iphone 6 plus 4 times less than the iphone 6. is there no stock after a year? This year is the same, the iphone 6s plus is too big for your screen size. There are devices with more screen and less size

The 6s Plus is more difficult to find especially in gold and silver. That's the main reason 6s sales are so overwhelming. I miraculously got a 6s Plus gold 128GB. I just happened to come across it at one of the local stores on Apples website and I quickly reserved it. The experience of searching for one seemed like searching for hen's teeth. The 6s is everywhere in all colors and capacities all day long but unless you're willing to settle for the rose gold or the occasional space gray you're in for a long search.

My wife and I were pretty dead set to get the 6S Plus initially. Then we went to the Apple store to check it out in person. What we both agreed was (1) the extra real estate of the Plus was nice BUT (2) the camera of the phone is located in such a poorly conceived location that it is much harder to avoid finger-blocking of the lens with the 6S Plus than the 6S. It seems that Apple sticks with the upper left angle placement of the camera lens because cell phone photography had previously been an afterthought from Steve Jobs' days. Now that they are putting the emphasis on the camera but somehow forget to relocate the lens to reflect the ergonomic changes that comes with the larger phone size. Bad placement design for the 6S Plus camera might in part account for the relatively lack of interest compared to the 6S.

I found the pie chart most interesting:
It shows that 3.5" display devices are only used by 12.3% of users. This could mean that they are now considered too small, but it's also true that these are now also considered old and unattractive.
4" are used by 42.6% of users, 4.7" are used by 34,7%
and 5.5" is a more or less niche market with 10.3% of users (still a big number in sheer sales).
All this means that people want big screens (at least bigger than 3.5"), but not too big (over 5").
My guess is that most would settle between 4-5", while 4.5-4.7" would be the sweet spot!

Best in updates but it sucks in older model. Sabotage old iphones to make people buy newer model. Apple bullshit.

We struggled massively for stock of the iPhone 6S Plus. As a store, we were sent 1 of these phones compared to the 130 of the 6S.

How is this news? These numbers make perfect sense. Did anyone expect the Plus to sell nearly as much as the regular 6s? No way. Phablets are a niche market. this isn't new.

Anonymous, 05 Oct 2015Interesting results. This data contradicts the prevailing G... moreUh, the Apple iPhone 6s (5.44 x 2.64 x 0.28 in) is almost as big as a Samsung Note 5 (6.03 x 3.00 x 0.30 in).
It's not that people don't want phablets, it's just that most people don't want Apple's giant iPhone 6s PLUS (6.23 x 3.07 x 0.29 in).

Phone manufacturers should be able to see, the simple fact that human hand sizes do not scale up like our phone screens. Surveys have pointed out that most people prefer a 4.5 - 4.7" screen size for their smartphones as it strikes a nice balance for having an adequate screen size while still being able to use the phone in one hand. Ergonomics for single handed usage should and always be a priority...

I wont upgrade, I still use my 5S as my main phone. It is powerful and incredibly tough for an iPhone. Meanwhile, I do notice how iOS 9 has turned my iPhone 6 to freeze a lot lately. I don't run many apps other than Email, Messages, light Safari Browser usage,Netflix, Hulu, YouTube, WWE Network, and the Videos (Movies and TV episodes), Very basic usage. but battery does not last well, and now with updates it freezes my iPhone 6 dang

A lot of people don't like large phones. Half of my friends pick the smaller phone regardless of system.
Notice the number of people using iPhone 5, 5C, 4S and 4? iPhones are built to last.
