Verizon finally jumps on the Samsung Pay bandwagon

07 October, 2015
Most of the major carriers in the US, including Sprint, T-Mobile, and AT&T had announced back in August that they will support Samsung Pay at launch. Notably missing from that list was Verizon, which at that time said that it is currently evaluating the mobile payments service.

Anonymous, 07 Oct 2015~50 million adults with smartphones? Facts. South Korea had 73% smartphone penetration in 2013, so it'd be way higher now.

The Galaxy S6 sold at a daily rate of around 25k, so say that after a few months it should have reached several million, + the Note 5 which recently launched.

Look, all in all you guys are right, this is brand new to the market, but 1.5mil digital sales is not "impressive", but it IS appropriate for what it is.

AnonD-356282, 07 Oct 2015That's not that impressive for a country with ~50mil in pop... moreHow is that not impressive when the payment is only doable with four phones and two of them are just announced? Give credit where credits due! That IS really impressive! Props to Samsung for making the best mobile payment solution.
