And the most users move from Android to WP, so it has certainly nothing to do with the price. I think most users are tired of the somewhat antiquated Android. And the former innovative IOS is not more innovative than the other Systems today. There are several good reasons to change to WP or Windows 10 Mobile if you give up your prejudices, I think.

Haven't yo... moreAustralia is hardly in taters, while growth has slowed and imports from China have retracted, the economy is certainly not in recession. Australia still remains one of very few economies unaffected by worldwide downturns in recent years. The uptake of Windows Phone has little here to do with price points as most Australian phones are bundled and subsidised by carriers anyway. It probably has more to do with the positive effect Windows 10 is having on the current mindset of consumers. Many are also disaffected with IOS and Android.

Windows phones rising in Europe? Not a surprise! Haven't you heard anything about the Euro crisis? The immigrant invasion? Europe is bankrupt and in tatters. The future too uncertain for them to get an iPhone. The same applies for Australia, too. It's a commodity driven economy and all commodity prices are crashing at the moment and that is really hurting Australia.

In addition, things dont look rosy from sales and prices either. (some devices are sold at loss in a month or 2 after launch!!! just activate the device at any cost.

Also, right now they don't want to make variants of phones. They just stick to one model and all carriers get the same phone, no more variants of same model. This requires less work and they can focus on updating existing phones and improve through software.

Windows may be rising as the devices prices are slashed which is impacting their profitability. This is a sign of despair for sales and to remind you, microsh*t just laid off 7800 employees just recently and now, remaining employees are around 4.7K!!!! its a pity knowing that Nokia had around 90K plus. Anyways still believe microsh*t will be out of the SD market sooner rather than later as all those moves are last resort in their trial and error strategy. Google and Apple rule...

Happy days. The Italians know great designed products when they see it. Followed by uk . Keep it coming. The new flagships will add a few more on. As the the new iPhones or out of date on arrival. "Windows Phone market share rises". If true then its because of buyers who don't know better or the store needing to make room for new non Windows phones. Besides, Kantar always seem to be reporting rising Windows Phone market share - perhaps from doing it in 0.1% increments.
