It's definitely looking that way, although HTC and LG have some 4.5 inch screen monsters with 4G/WiMax, each model supports either 8-12mp with HD recording and 1.5ghz snapdragon. Plus there's the LG GU990 running Linux's Moblin system, a massive 4.5 inch touchscreen who's multitasking is similar to the NVIDIA TEGRA smartphone on display last year and Nokia re intorudcing thier 12mp camera phone with mighty specs along with the successor to the N900 with maemo 6. Fear not, the beginning of the year starts out quietly with budget handsets which tend to be not very exciting.

                  nd --- :
I think LG is doing what Samsung has done with the Corby,I mean release different models with added or removed features for different price tags. Also the new cartoon main menu looks like corby CartoonUI but personally,I don't care about who copies what and so on,all I am interesed is what the phone can do,what it looks like and at what price it comes.

It seems as if they've used the leftover stock, put in a new OS, and encased it in yet another frame to look like a new phone.. there's barely any difference in the old and new except for 3g.. unless they price it real cheap they probably won't sell too many of them... plus a resistive screen is a big no... capacitive is the way to go now... they should learn from Samsung rather than aping them....

Another 3" WQVGA display phone. Had it been even little better it could be understandable, I think LG should mass produce better screen so that its price can come down and can be included in cheaper hansets...
