Jarret, 22 Oct 2015Pity Samsung. The best innovations was from Samsungare you serious? Samsung is best at "inspiring" from others. (I should add that Apple also.. just to make sure 80% ihaters in gsmarena don't get pissed off)

The only mobile company that really deserves pity is Nokia. They were truly the real innovator of the mobile world. Capacitive touchscreen aside, over 90% of today's smartphone feature was invented or derived from a Nokia invention/patent.

They should focus on the mid range which provides all the stuff you like. And by the by it does have a file explorer now, get with the times, and another thing, is cloud storage is extremely cheap, even if you're using a note 5 and not a iPhone, you could have as much space as you wanted.

These users generally aren't power users (iPhone doesn't even have a file Explorer or USB OTG).

Note users are mostly power users who want lots of storage space and removable batteries. I have 180 GB of storage on my GN4 which I could increase to 264GB with a new card... There is no way I'm getting a GN5 with just 32GB even if it looks great and is a touch quicker with a better camera.

Anonymous, 14 Oct 2015Since Apple is on the charts, it should still be worth noti... moreNo... your wrong. Apple is the only OEM to increase market share despite the slowing market. Apple continued to find success with its larger screened iPhone 6 Plus. It shipped a total of 47.5 million units, which is a 22.3% decline from 2015Q1. Much of this came out of Greater China as rapid 4G adoption, Apple retail expansion, and an increased appetite for premium devices elevated the brand to new levels. Overall, iPhones grew 35.0% year over year and a remarkable 51.4% in emerging markets alone. This is all before the 6s which AGAIN broke records and will without a single doubt, push the success story to new heights. Maybe you should focus before posting? ;)

The price will be dropping as the phone are getting more expensive. While there's other companies on the market giving more faster processor, camera pixle, feature, etc. at cheaper rate. Mobile device needs to get cheaper with more specifications in them that consumers and aford. Cost of living/ food price is going up but pay world wide. Start creating what people can afford while having great specs.

If Samsung need to sell their low and midrange phones they need to put efforts behind them. I personally never used any low or midrange Samsung phone, but seen their performance very closely (Core 2, some Grand Mega or something), and they are quite honestly awful, again, I am talking about the software part here. Why would people buy a Samsung mid range or low range phone when at same or lesser price they can get something like Moto E or Moto G, which runs near stock Android and the overall software experience is significantly better than Samsung's TouchWiz. Brand image doesn't matter for a low range phone now, does it?
This is why I always say, only get a Samsung when you are buying a flagship, otherwise its just not worth it. However at the same time I believe that for low range phones only Motorola and Lenovo are the worthy options, please give me a break before putting up names like Xiamai, Redmai (yeah the spelling mistakes are intentional due to my utter hatred and disgust to these OEMs) or Karbonn, Lava, Guava etc., one should never spend even as low as 10 bucks behind garbage.

So Samsung need to deliver, without mid and low range phones their profits, market share won't be anything to defend them as their current 'leader' status, so I am sure they will continue their effort in making those low range phones, despite my wish, so they better act sooner rather than later.
