gleydsonpr, 15 Oct 2015 I heard its price will be 630 usd + taxes if I remember co... moreThe $630 is the currency-converted amount from a hinted Chinese Yuan price of 4000 CNY. However, you should compare to other smartphone CNY prices.
Compare that to the iPhone 6S, which had the launch price of 5000 CNY (which converts to ~$750 USD), but was released unlocked in the states for $650 USD.
Also compare that to the Samsung Galaxy S6, which launched at 5200 CNY (converts to ~$800 USD), but was released unlocked in the states for $600.
Following that same logic, I suspect the Priv to be around $500 + tax (which can be avoided).

I did not purchase the Blackberry last year only because of nonexistence of Google Apps. But I am going to quit the Android Phone because of Existence of Google Apps in Blackberry. Well done Blackberry.

Finally! Im still using my Motorola Droid 4 as my daily driver - it is a pain to use as it is slow and laggy as hell now but even that wont make me ditch it. I just love the physical qwerty! The PRIV is my next phone for sure, a phone that I was waiting for to come out for literally years.

Besides, it will be my first BlackBerry device which is exciting in itself as well!

It could have been the best phone of the year but for the physical keyboard! BlackBerry needs to wake up and realize that it is not the Nokia era now and their insistence on making new phones with physical keyboards is so being out of touch with what the phone users actually want! Can't they see that the phenomenal success iPhones or other android phones never had physical keyboards in them and that those BB phones like Passport or Classic are rejected by consumers?

I've been waiting and looking at all the articles and the rumors about this phone, and it sounds like a great phone. BB really needs to market this phone well and most of all price it well. No monkey business.

I waited for this kind of phone very long....almost 4years....I really love/want physical keyboard..I had always been using Nokia N97, E7. Those are all great phones. This iOS and android touch phones ruined my choices.
I already registered for this phone. It is really going to be a "Happy new year" on 2016. :)

Anonymous, 15 Oct 2015 Schneider-Kreuznach bestI google it and guess what. Schneider Kreuznach is mostly used in Samsung DSLR camera and compact camera. Interesting how everything always goes back to Samsung no matter what component we google for.

I will be picking two up immediately when it's out.

This shall yet be another experiment which should have been embarked upon 3 years ago. A little late and pointless to squeeze into the congested droid market. John Chen's running out of ideas...
