13 February, 2010
That first Bada-running handset by Samsung is certainly impatient to go public. After we saw it advertised on billboards yesterday, it now made a live appearance and revealed a large part of its specs sheet...

I like the design actually. So much similarities to my metal casing samsung phone i7110. Sleek, durable and descent look. I have started liking samsung.

WHat kind of an OS is bada anyway? I mean iPhone is totally stupid and has lowered the bar for all phones out there.

I think it's a new trend we're seeing, pack a silly firmware in a crappy phone and call it a smartphone...

shin, 13 Feb 20105 megapixel isn't that competitive against todays high-end ... moreYeah.. Really disappointing! In fact, all of the phones recently announced were all 5MPs!! It's kinda sad. Looks like the Vivaz and the X10 will be my hope. And I heard they take really awesome pics!

5 megapixel isn't that competitive against todays high-end phones like the vivaz and x10. I wonder why samsung didn't push the mp up. Is the bada os not capable of handling cameras higher than 5mp??

Although the phone has cool specs, good design, Samsung never had their default os good. Its apps were buggy. Let us hope that atleast this fone does well in terms of hardware and software. The leaked pics has very outdated UI. Hope that it will be modified by its official release......

A 3.5mm audio-jack, it seems. Good! Its something of a mystery why not all phones released lately submit to that standard.

am liking the look of the device and cant wait for its official announcement and demonstartion tomorrow. the spec also look good although i also liked the spec on the Omnia HD but was put off by symbian, so am hoping bada does this phone some justice.

i think samsung will be hoping its as popular as the star and lg's cookie, but that depends on its eye candy (for younger users) and pricing, if they get them right then we have a new successful OS. it also needs full support from devs and samsung. good luck to samsung, hope tehy can pull it off.

I must admit guys, and since I'm an honest person. I must say that this is a huge improvement for Samsung is ugly designs. Seriously, this is something very sleek and sweet.

I never thought of owning a samsung handset because of the poor design. However, if Samsung continues with this road, I will strongly consider a future handset from them. I was always impressed by samsung's features however the main drawback was the ugliness of the looks. But this seems well done :D

                                      Cheers!

I agree,Nokia is trully a brand for old people. OK,they have some cool models like the N97 Mini and X6 but the rest are sooo old schoolish. I used to have nokias,I liked that you coult add a lot of apps but I also tried to move with the evolution and I sadly fopund out Nokia is not the case.
This phone from Samsung,I must say it rocks,it's like a succesor to the Ultra Touch S8300 which means it is as stylish as it can be. Good looking phones can also be found from LG,but sadly, they are not so reliable. SE is starting to get some design changes too ( and fortunately for the better ). So all we need to do is wait and hope for more goodies :D
