Toshiba roll out two super-slim smartphones, TG02 and K01

15 February, 2010
The Toshiba TG02 is in no mood to experiment and follows a time-tested recipe. The TG02 comes to succeed one of the most interesting devices last year's MWC brought to light. A 9.9mm-thin PocketPC. And if you..

this can't be true. this is FAKE.

Toshiba can't be using a commercial app on their phone. TG02 is using Spb SHell 3.5!!!! this is insane. can't be true.

I spoke to a guy on the Toshiba stand today and asked if the TG-02 was upgradable to Windows 7 Mobile. He just smiled and said 'no comment', read between the lines!

The phone does look nice, but then so did the TG-01. For me it's a choice between this running the new Windows OS and the HTC Desire for my next handset, was going to upgrade to a 3GS but iPhones are looking VERY dated now!

I love this phone, with Windows Phone 7 OS it'll be so wonderful to have it. Hope multitouch and all are covered. The other thing I love about this phone is that its camera is just 3.15 MP. That'll keep the price down. Toshiba has deliberately kept it that way it seems. But its good, I'm loving it, Ta da ta ta ta...
              MWC Rocks, yippee

Well, here in the US it is even 'GAYer'.

We have a "successful" phone that started to be sort of white in color.

It has a logo of a fruit, an apple to be exact.

Yet, it carries the name of the MEphone. And people actually buy it. LOL.

hm, Toshiba K01 looks quite interesting... capacitive, amoled, 12.9mm thick, with full keyboard, very impressive so far...

Chinese don't release mobile phones, except for domestic market and 3rd world countries. Korean Samsung is boring. Way too Asian, too gay. If I must choose Korean phone, I would go for LG design, especially GD880 Mini. I think Toshiba fills the gap catering business people. Elegant, simple and not cheesy.

toshiba can come out with the best cellphones or with best features but if they don't know how to market it what's the use? what country are they selling this? Japanese companies are all going downhill while koreans and the chinese are replacing them. Japanese may have the most advance technologies but they are too expensive and most can only be use in their country while the korans and chinese are coming out with affordable practical phones that most people can afford.

Personally, I never go for Toshiba's laptops even tho they are (were) very popular here. I don't know what to say about their mobiles.
