18 February, 2010
It is probably an understatement that Nokia and Qualcomm have buried the hatchet. Kissed and made up is more like it. In a recent interview Qualcomm CEO Paul Jacobs reveals Nokia have a Snapdragon-power...

Anonymous, 19 Feb 2010did you just say: symbian is much better?Yes, Symbian in much better than Android, Android is Google's spy,its their data mine, You are giving up your emails, voice, place, network speed, online searches and everything to google.

Tell me ONE reason for google's interest in Mobile OS ?

Its just like Chrome Browser which automatically sends user data to google.

I see alot of negative things about nokia on this website for reasons i don't now why?
It don't matter who bring out what phone & whatever is their specs, nokoia will always stay on top of the smartphone market becouse the are the inventor of gsm uma wifi 3g & so on.
I the last ten Years I have testing smartphones from all different company & I have to say nokia is ahead by a milestone in technology.
The nokia n900 don't have alot of apps that's becouse it's a internet tablet you don't need apps.

deep space bar, 18 Feb 2010don't know about that nokia's ARM cortex A8 powered N900 ou... moreWhat's the point of raw performance if it's only a promise? I tested the N900 and I couldn't get any of my work done on it. I could do amazing things, but those were just for "the sake of being able to do it". S^3 is worse: it's nothing yet.

See... I'm more years old than I'd like, so I'm not really into promises. I want to enjoy "the now". That's why I bought an N95 quite some time ago, didn't bought the N900, and I'm waiting for the Legend, or maybe the Desire/Bravo. Mind you, if they take a long time (probably not, just Mar/Apr), then I may buy something else...

Anyway, you got the idea... I don't like to buy technology waiting for it to hatch, or hoping they release a fix or improvement later.

                      :)

I'm pretty sure that a good lot of us wants xenon flash man but think about it we're way past that now.Plus Nokia had put out their official last word about that IINM and they're not alone in a sense.Literally everybody on that left list avoids it like the plague to keep costs down.As an excuse or not is another matter altogether.Snappy Nokias?Bring it.It's about time we're ridden off these ridiculous ARM 11s and Nokia should go for either 600Mhz MSM7227s or OMAP3430 for midrange.Unless if they can prove the case for Sym^3 running light years fast ahead of S60/40 on older specs, highly doubtful though. One can't expect Snapdragon based models to be affordable like the 5800 (which for the record gets my vote for the best "starter" S60V5 phone ever warts and all) and it's gonna be N badged at least.I smell Meego getting the treats 1st somehow.

And N97 and N97 minis are based on 434MHz processor??

Hopefully, Symbian^3 cellphones will have Xenon flash, I hate the rubbish led of my N95 8GB, due to that, I bought a lovely Sony Ericsson Satio, it has ARM Cortex A8 600 MHZ CPU, and 256 RAM, and 3D hardware accelerator as same as the iphone 3GS, N900, palm pre, omnia HD.

Honestly, 5 megapixels is a outdated camera, no smile and face detection, WTF nokia?, I don't care about the carl zeiss lens, I care about Xenon flash and smile/face detection.

I mainly go for nokia because they have higher specs then any other phone out there, and the cameras on the nseries with carl ziess lense are really good and with the lastest nseries the nokia n86 the camera is just amazing (even in the dark)
