Windows Phone 7 Series, (yea what a name MS, is it a OS or phone?) is boring,
the iphone is the most boring UI on earth, why's everyone so crazy about it? theres nothing besides un-innovative icons, no organization what so ever, just random junk everywhere
no wait, the Apps rite, Macs have never seen apps so now the revolution is coming..
i don't give HD non HD recording what ever, 5mp 8mp its all the same but the entire phone is boring beyond words.
apps are over hyped like hell, NFS Shift looks great in trailers but it suks on the iphone.
Now Windows Phone 7,
wow MS admitting defeat and copying every word of Apple, hey why did you change Windows Mobile to Phone???? iphone... no wait you've been in the smartphone business years before apple.. but admitting defeat and just copying
WinPhone 7 is not a UPGRADE, look at it you can do LESS than WinMo 6.5

Oh yea, make it simple and pointless to sell it to the iphone people, after all who wants to innovate we all just live pointless lives taking pics of ourselves and setting pointless status'

guys... windows 7 was and is still a pleasant surprise why should mo7 not be similar ? and portrait mode... code not finished ... or accelerator missing ?

The iPhone is a good phone, great UI and is by far the most stable, easy use day to day phone for business a networking functions. Finally others are starting to catch up, which will force Apple into actually putting in some decent hardware, which is where they fall. (however the 3GS is very powerful).

battery is poor, screen can be used by touch pen, everything has to be in apple format. lol
camera is crap. first one could not even record video. old skool!

Anonymous, 21 Feb 2010we're not seeing the bigger picture, yes HTC is the base of... moreAsus dominates the netbook computer segment, therefore making them the logical computer company to make the step down to mobiles as they already have some sort of grasp on portable device marketing. Unfortunately somehow I don't think this OS will innovate the smartphone market, but I do think it will be a genuine option along side Android and Mac OS. Innovation happens rarely in mobiles, before the iPhone the last I can think of is the N95 which was the first true all in one feature phone.

we're not seeing the bigger picture, yes HTC is the base of Windows Mobile (not phone) world but Asus is a rite now in the top 3 world computer innovators along the likes of IBM.
Microsoft obviously want to make a statement with their first Microsoft branded phone and since HTC are doing fine by themselves and are also catering Android, Microsoft must have figured why don't they bring a bigtime computer brand into the game.
and with a choice of HP, DELL, Acer, TOSHIBA, Asus sure are the best choice and not forgetting their footprint is larger and older than even Acer's in the mobile world.
Google Asus, their always upto some innovation in computer Tech.
Microsoft are making good choices all round but can Windows Phone 7 Series become the Ultimate Smartphone OS, they would have redefined the Smartphone to make it to number 1..
so far its still on a fine line

Now...what I will write will sound stupid... and everyone is free to judge me.....but why do I hear so much about OS? Let's separate the hardware from the software...we got nowadays something like... 1GHz Cpu, 512MB RAM, Graphic accelerator, don't mention storing space....
Why isn't someone shrinking and fitting a windows 98 or XP to this devices (I know there are some kind of mobile devices OQO or so called but I mean cellphones here) we got touchscreens...no mouse needed...if it would be something like that "old" OS... I can get easily opera, flash, winamp maybe the first NFS and other stuff running beccause the OS was compatibel back than....don't mention Pentium 2 or 3 which achieved very hard 1GHz...
