Sales reports suggest the LG V10 isn't doing very well on its home turf

24 October, 2015
Initial sales numbers for the handset in Korea are far from the revenue-saving success LG was hoping for.

for me it's a good news for all customers...it might be cheaper when arrived to my country...what makes this phone unique from others are the manual mode for taking video and it survived drop test so no need to put casing..no matter how good the design of the phone if you put casing it they almost look the same..i guess the rest of it's features are the same with others...cheers...

regs, 25 Oct 2015sales statistics shows are are wrong.Due to the nature of my job, I get to switch phones quite often. I have to say that 4.7-5.2" is the ideal size for me. Never really get used to the 5.5" G3 though the 6.8" P8 Max worked great as a tablet-substitute. I have since switched back to the iPhone 6S. Feels big enough for me.

You want me to be amazed by that? No dust resistant and no waterproofing with that kind of pricing. I would be better off with S6 Active which have both. This is LG takes on Samsung's Active series and it is a failure.

Anonymous, 25 Oct 2015SD808 can be found on a $300 device, it's not flagship pric... moreYou just proved my point.

5.7" QHD screen + a secondary one for multitasking and other info.
          4 Gbs of RAM
Excellent camera (in the top 5 in world) along with one of the best camera software + innovative and effective front camera setup
Robust design with military-grade resistance to drops
Fingerprint reader, plus extras which might not matter to all but are still there such as extendable storage and removable battery

And yet, you're still talking that Snapdragon blah blah...

You value specs over actual quality. No matter how many articles read that S808 delivers without any issues, you're blinded. LG is doomed with people like you.

[deleted post]V10 is indeed a nice phone compares to 6s or 6s.

Anonymous, 25 Oct 2015That's too bad. Aside from ugly UI skinning, I feel like LG... morePlenty of reasons! More than plenty of reasons! Like I always said, its not even remotely acceptable to compare a Samsung with an LG, you know, people still do that, inexperienced people that is, like you.

LG was always about cheap stuffs, now they are called premium, hilarious, I mean premium all right, pricing that is, but quality, well still same, below average, bin worthy products, most of them at least.

Makidetko, 25 Oct 2015I made a mistake and i bought lg g3 and i never will by lg ... moreLOL! At least someone said it out loud!

I used the phone for two months, yes, only two months, and noticed the crack next to 3.5 mm headset hole, and it was not the hairline tiny scratch either, it could clearly be seen even under half decent lighting conditions. Visiting LG's service centre was a pain in the --- too, at first they kept pushing to be agree that I have dropped the phone, or placed a headphone with brute force, but then had to pull some strings and finally they agreed to do the servicing. Next they called me and asked me to collect the phone, and they gave me a brand new phone. And said sorry for your inconvenience at least three times in my five minutes visit. Next thing I do? Posting an ad online to sell the phone. Keep in mind, this crack wasn't the main reason for me to sell the phone, but other major issues with reception etc.

Two phones which changed my life, and gave me nightmare, and I won't forget about these two phones ever in my life, iPhone 5S and LG G3 (and if software should be counted then Galaxy S4 Exynos), shame on all of them.

Meh! LG! Shut up, shut all the cheap lectures and actually manufacture (or even assembling will do, manufacturing won't get you anywhere anyway, LOL!) a half decent device and then brag as much as you want.

Most people do not buy phones by the specs, so stop talking about the cup...
Only few people who are obsessed with specs will always pursue high-end phones.
Most people would rather buy a samsong J7 cause it is already enough to handle daily life tasks.

The prices are insane. 1000 Euro/USD for a flagship !

You can easily manage to surf on net, FB, text messages(including whats app, viber), emails. music with phones made in 2013-2014.

The only minus for all the phones, it's the battery.

would come out more energy-efficient(processor,screen,battery,UI) and with more pixels, would they sell it better than G4.

Given LG's poor after sale service record I am not surprised people are turning away from them. I have a LG G3 from last year and it is plagued by performance issues. LG acknowledged it but the fix never came. This was my first and is most definitely the last LG phone

It's not power-hungry Android fans writing here about specs who cause LG to struggle, it's the rest of the general public who just take Samsung or Apple instead of actually trying LG.

I don't know what's wrong with lg, they make a solid big time quality phone yet they let high pricing and proll bad advert to drive them right back to poor sales. Maybe they want to see what it means to struggle the way Nokia and bb did before

Maybe, but just maybe it's time to manufacturers ask themselves if they pushed it too far with screen size for a PHONE.
If they base their strategy on forcing people to go over any limit of "pleasant to use" screen size and following the trend of increasing it even more with each generation, they will eventually hit the wall at some point.
Otherwise in 5 years period we will have Galaxy S 17 with 10" display just because "its good to browse on bigger screen" and will come with free backpack to carry it on your back when idle.
