Verizon's new Droid Maxx 2 is a rebranded Moto X Play

27 October, 2015
It's the mid-range offering that's meant to complement the Droid Turbo 2 in the carrier's portfolio.

They should just make a Droid Turbo Maxx with an actual long lasting battery. MAxx 2 with the big battery and weak SoC only managed to match iPhone 6s PLUS and Note 5 in battery which to me is a terrible showing. Would have expected at least 50% more hours.

Well i hope not making the Moto X Play available for other interested US buyers who are not on Verizon...will be profitable for Motorola.
Exclusives are a bonehead sales model..it does nothing but shot out an OEM's fans on other carriers hence making them spend their money on other devices

"Promises Marshmallow"... yeah good luck with that. Now that Motorola isn't owned by Google anymore, the updates aren't as quick. The Droid Turbo took ages to get Lollipop, after they had promised it lol. So i'm assuming it will be the same case with this device, no thanks Verizon..
