[deleted post]Nokia thrives on the lower end of the mass market with monocrome cheap mobiles. So, everyone can afford nokia. And if they think gold plating will increase the value of there mobiles. Think again.

Oh! What about different categories of N97mini like Silver coating, Platinum coating, Diamond studded and craaappp coating.

Its meant for naive showboats. Period.

I hope they make it like the Nokia E75 Gold, which is a stunning beautiful phone. The Nokia E71 Gold/Bronze is nice as well. People think it's gonna be "bling" gold, which is not true and you can see it on the pictures. It's more like matt bronze/gold like the E75. Nokia only put "bling gold" on Arte series and small trendy phones like the 6700 classic, not on the N-series and E-series.

It would have to be superior in design to justify the price but it's not doing it for me. Still, some people will buy it simply because its more expensive and they want to make a statement. Good for them. Luxury to me means alot of things, but not this.

My local jewelery shop can do better gold platting and diamond studding than the Nokia folks, who have now evidently turned to jewelers form a phone manufacturer it seems.

Can I pawn the gold platting after 4 years? Will its price increase with the increase in international gold price? Zees!

I agree with Gamma. Only aristocratic "G" people, people who live of Credit cards and loan, 'and' celebrity bimb0s will opt for this.

Nokia, failing to release a viable prototype or model in the WMC, 2010 (the sketch of Nokia X10, which GSMArena so proudly show boasted, don't even count BTW), became anxious and bent down and release this just to stay in the news (GSMArena's atlease) and limelight. Truely, Nokia and GSMArena are a pair made in heaven.

Nokia is still doing well, they don't care what the media say ill about them, they jus care about the sales and market share

symbian, meego and nokia will never die and will be the leader in game

It has got "GAAY" (henceforth refereed to as "G") written all over it in huge Capital Golden Bold fonts. All my "G" friends seem to like it as well for its Bling-Bling factor.

Maybe its targeted at the "G" community. Then why to leave out the hanging Pink Jewels and LED lights?

Hence proves my theory that Phone Manufacturers could have gender as well. Motorola and SE being Male, IPhone being Female and Nokia being... well... "G"!

I see alot of people below that can't afford one. The colour is ok, not great. But i like this cause being gold plated means more metal and less plastic exterior, which will go pretty well the rest of the metal on the phone, which will contribute to a solid phone. These kinda colours always look 10 times better in real life then in pictures. As long as it's not "bling gold" kind, I like the off gold kinda soft beige colour like this one.

Please tel me GSMarena is joking when they said that the Nokia N97 mini is NOKIA's Flagship phone.

Why the hell NOKIA made the N97 mini the Flagship model when it's the lowest of all phone?

Pfffttt...I wasted money to even bought the "Flagship Model" N97 32GB

What is going on? Dont you guys have any viable news worth mentioning?

N97mini + Golden Panel form China = Gold Edition?

                                    What next?

                                    6600 + Pink Panel = Pink Panther.

That pathetic, why dont you just release a Golden Panel instead of this gimmic?

Its must be awefully hard for GSMArena to even breath, let alone report on real news, with its whole lips and face smack against Nokia's you-know-what.
