Warner Bros. offering refund on PC version of Batman: Arkham Knight, again

02 November, 2015
Here we go again. After releasing the game on Steam, pulling it down and offering refunds because it had technical issues, then putting it up again on Steam after four months, WB is now again offering refunds to those who are still facing issues.

That MPCS guy, 03 Nov 2015this it wont happen on a console, oh glorious console maste... moreIf the game is developed for PC, and then ported months later to consoles it'd happen ;)

That MPCS guy, 03 Nov 2015this it wont happen on a console, oh glorious console maste... moreFirst "PC Master Race" was always a joke for us PC gamers, only idiots use that to spread hate. As old Ben said "Who's the more foolish, the fool or the fool who follows him?"

Now to the topic, there are several problematic games on console, AssCreed Unity for example had terrible performance even on consoles with frame drops and was bugged as hell, no platform is save from lazy developers!

Also the PC community tends to be more united and more vocal about product dissatisfaction, since we are more picky how we spend and we demand value for our money.

And although it's true that this happens way more on PC, given the heterogeneous nature of the hardware, the ports made by competent studios are, in most of the cases, far superior than the console counterpart.

Sadly WB Games suffers from two extremes, two studios with different approach on PC ports, the well polished and optimized Shadows of Mordor from Monolith Productions and the broken Arkham Series from Rocksteady (Knight is far the worst, but the previous games all suffered from bad optimization, also Arkham Origins had breaking game bugs on console and PC)

this it wont happen on a console, oh glorious console master race

The game is broken for the PC version, a straight port of the console version with zero software engine optimization even with many patches the game just can't run properly in decent PC's... i think WB just gave up fixing this game so this explain the refund.

bug, 02 Nov 2015I'm pretty sure people still won't learn that pre-ordering ... moremy friedn the main reason people pre-order a game is because many of them offers either special chapters, characters that u could get a for a big amount of money later as a dlc or that u ll never ever get as a punishment..wich is not fair game consoles and pc gaming is turning horrible and will get worst during this digital era ...sometimes i remember when we used to pay for a full game ...full no issues and the harder or best chapter could be unlocked by ending a game in hard mode or beating some one in a special way..passwords too....but now companies provides unfinished games and steal people with that making people pay more that the game should cost....u want an example for thos who play dbz xenoverse ...there was a preo order in wich vegeta ssj4 was bundled and until this day there is not option for either unlock or purchase...wich is a shame ..... and u know what people the only ones who should be blamed for that are us...because because of our actions pre ordering and purchasing dlc is that we are getting unfinished games... another example mortal kombat x was promised for the old gen and even after accepting pre orders then they said there is not game.....but they only wanted to use our money to pay to some one or who else....we are wrong guys we should stop this and when i say we should is because we can we have the power to do it.

Same reason why people pay insane cash for tech support, which is mostly a guy that knows how to use Google.

that's what happen if you don't focus on PC, which is still the best gaming platform out there

I'm pretty sure people still won't learn that pre-ordering is stupid in 2015. There was a reason to pre-order back when you had to make sure you got one of the few retail boxes available at launch. But today, with digital distribution, there's way less incentive to do so.
Yes, you should still pre-order if you want to show support for a developer, but I'm pretty sure anyone signing a deal with WB doesn't need that kind of support. So just sit back, wait for the initial reviews and then consider whether you should spend your cash on a title.
