[deleted post]I don't know why people are coming at my neck assuming i'm hating on Blackberry. I own a Blackberry Passport and the front facing camera is horrid.. All i said is "I guess Blackberry doesn't care about selfie lovers". Which is in fact true, their phones target a different crowd. I demand an apology lol.

looking forward to user opinions, as a Z10 man, Im waiting to see how big it is, the Edge and co. are too big, might as well carry a tablet.... pricing seems realistic and not greedy as Apple for eg. If its not too much bigger than Z10 ill buy it.

A 2MP image will go through less processing and compression when uploaded to such a service, because it is already of a small size (image quality and file size) to start with.

Take the HTC M7 for example it has a 4 "Ultra pixel" camera, and when you upload to FB it looks horrible. Now if you snap and upload the same picture from say a Galaxy S5 (16 mp) then the image looks much better.. even though FB downgraded the quality..

A 2MP front camera is more than sufficient for such networks, considering most images posted via such networks are cropped and compressed to extremes, and most people will be viewing said images using a phone with a 5.5 inch screen or less.
Anything higher resolution is a complete waste for those networks.

Definitely buying this, BlackBerry made a better android than android! BB hub and DTek for privacy with Google Play Store!

I'm a hardcore Blackberrian but it's just sad to see how BB always manages one deal breaker. EVERYTHING is perfect in PRIV but they could've easily opted for 5mp but didn't.. in a selfie world.. it matters if you want your phone to become popular amongst all crowds and not just suited ppl. Now a BB will have snapchat but not a good cam. wow..
Yes the lens is wide.. great.. now we can make more ppl look ugly per frame.. Silly mistake!

I don't really like the design but it has pretty beefy specs! The only thing that's lacking is the selfie cam, which is okay 'cause i doubt Blackberry's main concern is selfie lovers haha. The rear facing cam seems promising! The shooter on the Passport was solid, so this new camera is something i want to see a detailed review on. All in all it seems to be a great device, design aside of course.
