Anonymous, 04 Mar 2010Then why not simply call this phone 6730 "classic"... moreIf you had bothered to read back through the previous comments you would see that I in fact did call this a new 6730. I don't know what to make out of that second paragraph. So I'll just assume you're trying to move the goal posts.
About your prefix inquiry. Well, I just find it hilarious when people here get all bent out of shape because they assume that if their company is first to put "S" or "T" in their name, anyone else doing so is a copier....Lol?
Do you guys also get mad when a Toyota car has the same "LE" prefix as a Honda car too?

zabih zabih@london.c, 04 Mar 2010hmmmmm the almighty touch screen was first launched SE P800... moreAdditionally, you should know that most cell phone companies using capacitive touchscreens are all using the same technology. The underlying OS is the main factor in how responsive input will be. The MILESTONE has a capacitive screen, just like the iPhone. In addition, it has better screen real estate and more pixel-density. The OS it runs is Android, built to run on capacitive surfaces for faster input, multitouch, and etc.; and if you ever see a demo of it, you will know.
Another example of perfect capacitive input is the LG Prada, the first capacitive screen phone. It runs a modified version of S-class, and goes through everything smoothly, multitouch included. The Prada II even better.
It's pretty obvious that you drink the kool-aid around here. You make grandiose claims about Apple and lies about other companies, you should brush up on history before you do such a thing again.

zabih zabih@london.c, 04 Mar 2010hmmmmm the almighty touch screen was first launched SE P800... moreMotorola never improved their touchscreen phones?? Have you even seen the MILESTONE? The ROKR E6? How can you try to argue fact by backing it up with opinion?
That pretty much goes for Er2M down there. Behind many dumb assumptions, the one that took the cake was alleging that Nokia didn't have the touchscreen technology before the iPhone did. Wow, do you need some more kool-aid?

hmmmmm the almighty touch screen was first launched SE P800, it was followed by MOTOROLA A1000. it is a shame Moto and SE did not IMPROVE their touch screen phones. when apple perfectised touch screen the other companies realised what they were missing, three years gone and still other companies cannot match iphone,s touch capabilities. for those talking about skin colour and hair colour just get outta here

Awesome to see how much some people are blind minded, or perhaps mind handicaped...
Bla bla this bla bla that...
You guys argue about worthless stuff like a cellphone while crisis are up to it's maximun.
"Have a brand new cellphone that fries the egg's you don't have in your fridge!" should be the new kind of advertisemnts...
one of my fav's "Buy and iphone and eat the apple on his back :D as nothing else is worth for!"

[deleted post]Well, there you have it, a bigot replying my simple question which than taught me something about the system or method over there and how you are seem to have to actually face it as an issue where as us with black hair and brown skin man usually would just buy a phone and haggle the warranty, minus the hassle of to be concerned about, erm whether they are 'unlocked' or not. The dilemma..tsk tsk

Or, 03 Mar 2010Yeah. In actuality, this phone and many other C phones will... moreThen why not simply call this phone 6730 "classic"? Isn't the almighty brand being know for running out of model numbers, so need to add "classic / slide" or whatever to old model numbers?
And according to fans of the almighty brand, such was another great strategy so to remind (or confuse) previous 6xxx users to buy these so called "new" phones, when these "new" phones don't seem to have any relationship with the prevous ones, other than the model numbers.
Let's see what the fanboys would say about "copying" model prefix from SE....another GREAT STRATEGY to drive out the competition?

Rudeboi, 03 Mar 2010So sick of people bashing Nokia when it's been Nokia who re... morewho says the almighty brand doesn't copy from others?
Recent cases involves it copies even the model numbers of SE....stealing X3 so SE can't use X3. Then when SE is about to release X10, the almighty brand comes out with its own X10.
How about the touchscreen technology? The almighty brand had been releasing all these "smart" OS, megapixel cam, and this and that. Only it didn't have the technology to release any touchscreen (3G) phone before iphone 3G. Then all of the sudden AFTER iphone 3G is available, the almighty brand released at least half a dozen touchscreen (3G) phones. Don't even mention the 2 other touchscreen 2G phones from the almighty brand, as I have NOT seen anyone using them.
And how about charging by USB? Even in 2010, the almighty brand, which claimed it will standardize the industry with micro-USB plug (when Motorola started to use the same plug over 2 years ago), still does NOT offer charging via USB on its phones with micro-USB plug.
So much innovation from the almighty brand.
