G, 07 Nov 2015Physical keyboards are far faster and less error proneThe keyboard even doubles as a trackpad, I think it's a super cool feature to have, and I really love how thin the bezels of the screen are

I doubt they have a lot of unsold Passport and Classic inventory. They learned their lesson from the Z10 and are way more conservative about not getting caught with a lot of unsold inventory. Speaking of the two + year old Z10, it continues to get the latest BB10 updates and has gotten better as time goes on. Their update record is actually quite good.

First the did this with playbook (OS10) & now they had promised OS10 update in next year. They are waiting to clear off the inventory of unsold Passport, Classic & Passport SE. Then they will cancel the update for sure. OS 10 is dead anyway. Promised update to Android 6 next year is for Priv is marketing trick.

Your comment is stupid, and if the QWERTY keyboard is successful, why no OEM implemented it???

The Priv seems like a great phone. Android is VERY optimized now adays compared to how it used to be before, but the problem is that Android doesnt age well and the devices tend to become obsolete within a year. Blackberry OS and iOS and their devices, they have a tendency to last years and years. iPhone 4S , and Blackberry Z30, Q10 and Z10 are still very powerful. iPhone 5s I still find it much better and more optimized than the iPhone 6. Yet the droids seem to wear themselves out in one year. Had an LG Optimus from 2013, within the year it was laggy, freezing, rebooting, and would go through batteries like a hog. Great phone terrible aging. Hoping for a Blackberry Priv but with the new Blackberry OS. I am still getting the Priv btw haha I just cannot wait for the review!! :P

Marshmallow update next year?, Blackberry are not quick with any updates best wait until Marshmallow and all fixes are released and running on the Priv before buying.

The Priv should have been released with dual boot option into a true version of BB OS or Marshmallow straight out of the box..Hopefully BB can keep up/release the latest flavors of Android fast unlike most other OEMS or its doomed for good..

easier and faster to type on a touchscreen keyboard for most people so this really is pointless in this day and age- such a limited market for this device- it will appeal to some but not to the masses and thats why BB are on their way down

"sometime in the new year" we will probably have Android 7.0 and completely different flagship smartphone landscape with the Priv being obsoleted. Come on Blackberry, step your game up. You can't be a full generation behind and be treated serious. People are thinking that NOW companies are becoming delayed with their updates to 6.0.

like nokia did some years ago.
They only make 1 android device. After they gain much popularity again, and after they earn enough money, they will focus again on bb10 os. Never produce android device again. The sad news is their "old" android devices will be abandoned, and will never be updated.
