Sony announces new a68 SLT camera

06 November, 2015
Sony has announced a new member in its mostly forgotten SLT range of cameras, i.e. cameras that sit between DSLRs and mirrorless cameras with a fixed translucent mirror that allows the AF to continue working even while shooting.

OdysseasP, 07 Nov 2015If you are interested in video I would advice you to buy th... morea6000 for video? You can't plug in any mic for it. I would have said the a6000 is one of the worse choices for video (unless you really aren't that fuss on sound recording).

lg user, 06 Nov 2015im not a photographer but this specs sound amazing to me.Both the EVF and the screen have a very low resolution, the maximum shutter speed is 1/4000 sec. while the body is made out of plastic. Although is costs more, I believe the Sony a77 Mark II is a much better buy since it has an EVF and a screen with a much higher resolution, it is made out of metal while the maximum shutter speed is 1/8000 sec. In addition, camera manufacturers in general place a much higher AF torque system in higher end camera bodies which provide much faster AF speeds in comparison to lower end camera bodies in case you will be using lenses which doesn't support SSM (Super Sonic Motor) / HSM (Hyper Sonic Motor).

AnonD-93439, 06 Nov 20152expensive2buy, still, get an a6000.If you are interested in video I would advice you to buy the Sony a6000, but if you are mainly interested in photography then I believe that you are better with the Sony a77 Mark II. In either case, it makes sense only if you have a lot of expensive Sony or Zeiss lenses. Otherwise the Canon DSLR cameras which support the Dual Pixel AF technology are much better as far as video is concerned, while the Nikon DSLR cameras with the 51 point AF system are much better as far as photography is concerned.
