Coming from the Note 3 to the V10, I've noticed only a slight decline in battery power. And yes I much rather have shorter battery life and a replaceable battery than a sealed phone. With spare batteries, I will definitely be away from chargers way longer than those without.

Well, I've had the phone a few more days now and I battery cycled it three times. I literally let it go until it turned off. I am now getting better battery life. Not great but certainly better. I think what I'll do is when I get my new battery and charging cradle, I'll just go home and swap it out. That means I can use it aggressively at work and then I'll get all new battery life at home when I swap it out. So I'll never have to be tied to a charging cord. I'm liking the V10 more and more.

Vaio Agent, 09 Nov 2015lollipop is the main reason for battery drain!True, it is one of the main reasons.

My Note 4 battery got so degraded, I had to go back to KK. Most phones with lollipop these days are having worst battery ratings than 1-2 years ago.

M had originally the same problem, but Google should be working on it, after many months and thousands of ppl complaining. Disappointing. Here is the thread: https://code.google.com/p/android/issues/detail?id=165558

Anonymous, 09 Nov 2015It depend on how you use the phone like gaming, interneting... moreI'm the complete opposite! Had an LG Optimus 4X HD and it was the absolute worst! I thought it would be an absolute beast with a Nvidia Tegra 3 under the hood and it gave me nothing but trouble. My friends G3 is all but dead now 11 months into her contract. My Note 3 served me very well and my S6 is doing excellently. I really liked everything about this phone except the SD808. It's sub par for a phone of this quality. Should have held out for the X20 or SD820 or sweet talked Sammy into an Exynos deal.

LG has always had horrible battery performance, G2 was just an exception not to be repeated again... and to add more salt to that would, they are getting worse at bazels too...

It seems like LG hasn't figure out the way to optimize power usage. It is true that Snapdragon 808 aren't really battery friendly but it should be way above 56 hours mark with that battery capacity.
Anyway, This is the point of having a removable battery, if you really into this phone, you should consider a spare battery.

I've had the V10 for three days now and the battery is horrible. I went from a Note 3 to this. My note 3 was on 70% brightness and I pretty much did what I wanted to and still had about 30% left at night. I unplug my V10 at 7am and by 4pm I'm down to less than 10%. Nothing crazy either. Emails, light web surfing, some productivity stuff. I went to Tmobile and the rep also had the V10 and told me he's going to trade it in for something else. His battery life was about the same as mine. In 11 more days I can upgrade to a different phone and I think I'll go with the Note 4. If not for the battery life, I'd really like this phone. Too bad.

lollipop is the main reason for battery drain!

AnonD-265341, 08 Nov 2015Z5c z5Still, they are way worse than their predecessors. I also find it very weird that Z5C has 28h talk time and Z5 has 17h. It's the same chip and modem.

I also find GSMArenas video tests weird, like they use hardware decode for some phones and software decode for others.

I have the LG V10. I have been using it allot for 3 days and so far the battery life has been fine. I do notice the battery does drain a bit quicker than the G3 and Flex, both of which I have used. I really like the features on the phone were some may not. Your preference in a phone has to do with features you like to have, As for me the battery life not being great it has things to make up for it. SD card, spare battery capable the 2nd screen and fingerprint recognition, to name some features I like. Big screen ans processor are great but need power. Dont let the battery rating steer you away from this phone. It is VERY nice!

i'm using note 3 right now and definitely this is my next phone v10, battery is still manageable so long as it is removable...its drawback is still nothing compare to its present features that can't found to any flagship phone today,, like manual setting for video together with durability to survive drop test...

It depend on how you use the phone like gaming, interneting.....etc..... Plus your screen brightness setting too. My wife and i had been using LG phone till present without any problems unlike Samsung giving us so much problems.
