HTC One M9 pattern lock is very easy to bypass

Well whether it used to work, it sure doesn't now. and I've noticed on google that when you use the LOCK option, it does not give you an option to change the password. the factory reset should always be a last resort. So back in 2015 and 2016, you may have had these options but in 2017 none of them exist. if you try to lock your phone all you can do Is put a message on it and a contact number, you can no longer change the password. this is awful. and there are no sites in 2017 that can actually help to unlock your screen if you've forgotten the pattern. pretty sad in this day and age.

I am unable to sign into my HTC M9 plus phone. After restarting it is asking for a pattern, I am using the same pattern but it keeps saying "wrong pattern" I don't see any option to reset the pattern as well. This seems to be HTC Sense issue. There's just one "emergency call" section. PLEASE HELP ME ACCESS MY PHONE ASAP.

I think HTC will make a change in the headphone jack and HTC might need truly discovered a little bit of differentiation.

The bug is true. The firmware in this video is stock and not rooted. It just happens when a VPN client like noroot firewall from Google play is installed. And some other auto start apps are installed. But with quick updates from HTC like from Google play store will be fixed soon. So please make sure to always have your device updated.

anyway, Good Morning GSMA i would like to inform you that this is true but its also not true... yes some phones can be easily unlocked through that way but we are doing our best to update the said phones that are not working properly... false that its a feature like a spare key you left under the floor mat outside your front door courtesy of some impersonating our HTC staffs...

The problem could be caused by a specific carrier ,or a problem with specific phone, so I think we shouldn't just accuse HTC, especially that other phones don't have that problem.
