Sony Ericsson Satio gets WVGA video recording via a new update

I have an older software on my satio, tried many times to upgrade to new one for WVGA video recording but every time it says your software is already up to date. Can any one help me out ??

i think it is very useful phone if anyone dont like it he is foolish person,satio camera it is unbelivable i am very happy from the bottom of my heart really thank u sony ericsson 4 launching satio rocks.

Hi in response to the low audio recording in videos,
I`ve got the latest firmware with the WVGA recording but the standard audio level recording is very low so,
I inserted the earphones that came standard with the satio which includes a microphone and then activated the camera and to my surprise it used the mic from the earphones for the audio recording and not the mic from the camera and the result is that it now records the audio 10 times better and lauder!!

TO SONY ERICSSON:
just wanna ask wen will be the nxt fw that offers U1 interface change? better kinetic scrolling? mediascape? timescape? enhanced conversation style like isms? hd recording? better xenon enhancement? slideshow in media pic browser? changeable color background of media browser? menu upgrade wid animated icons like all the pure se phones?.
i knw some of these questions will be answered and somehow be granted by se's humane harts... godspeed...

i wod like to xpress my gratitude for the good update of satio aided by its pretty good equalizer... tnx se! i wish that in a few days u will also be adding a slideshow software atleast its nice to vieww pix wid variety of transition effects eg. resco viewer a very nice application... settings of the radio pls enhance, U1 interface with kinetic scrooling mediascape or timescape somehow. slide unlock software for satio we nid it badly, the conversation must be enhanced to auto reboot the traditional inbox is gawky. one of the reasons y im noy fun of txting and vry much willing to have my phone v2.50 interface cause it offers isms... but even all of these request i still love satio.. enhancement is wat we satio users are begging to make this phone encomparable...

my observations after 5 days of using the new fw...
1. battery life lasted longer.. atleast!!!
2. fast browsing is evident especially opening the media and other apps.
3. im using vmenu v1.52 and it functions great wid this fw unlike the last fw logggggy...
4. wvga indeed is great at 24fps and at one time it reaches to 28fps that was according to smart movie player.
5. the conversation is useless.. i really fantasize isms...
6. i have downloaded videos from you tube wid res 864x480 aand it works unlike b4 the update..
7. in fairness good update but it wod be better if the interface,the messaging is threaded wid settings in it, slideshow nids amazing effects pls? more stndby themes, y theres no scrinsaver setting in this phone? continouos video playback,equalizer,more settings in the camera, enhanced the xenon widout using xposure, fs 12m pix,font settings must be upgraded the large setting apirs to be normal in size.(pls consider those users wid poor eye sight)the display brightness is devoured by iphone too bad.. is thre a way of making it a bit brighter?( at 100% still unbelievably dark,changeable media color background,fs caller..radio setting enhancement,iphone-like menu will b appreciated... these are just my dreams to be offered by satio nxt fw! who knows se will take in consideration some of these mention features hope sooo... God speed se...

hi i just downloaded the software update and the video quality is amazing. However, the facebook application opens and gets stuck on "wait" and does not proceed.Any help? Also could someone please tell me what "media server" application is for?? It is present in application under organiser.

to check if ur update is available.
connect to pc suite. click sony ericsson online.
then a prompt will come out it u have the new update available.
then, close ur pc suite.
proceed to SEUS.
TO retain hackable satio state,
check esato com's guide or raafat's and the new SE-Satio.co.uk

Check forums on esato or raafats blog on how to retain hackable state prior to updating software.
New update sometimes doesnt tell u using the update service.
Connect pc suite, it automatically tell u about the new software available for ur phone...OR click the sony ericsson online tab bottom left. When u get connected to the internet, pc suite will prompt u regarding the new firmware.

u guys r so lucky then , after installing the new update, my phone is pretty messed up , i now have two facebook short icons on the organiser folder click one , no responds, click the other one , brings me to SUDOKU , takes way too long to load the organiser's folder, and swapping landscape mode takes longer then before, no google maps , had to redownload it again, missed calls cause there's no ringtones at low power, so apps just aren't there even if u restored them from m card . I wish i still have the last update version , everything on that one works fine for me .

New update of SATIO is fantastic. Phone speed is prety much application run fast. In short phone runs fast and in video recording WVGA added,face book application added. Only thing thing bad. NOw with this latest firmware update satio si not hack with HELLOOX2. And helloox official site announs that new firmware is unhackable. Any one has any good news regarding hack of satio new firmware.

it might be possible that u have old update service....download the new update service from sonyericsson.com/support and then try again...i recently updated my phone and its work fine....and ive got all the new features which is WVGA video recording,DLNA support, threaded messaging,facebook and youtube direct uploads and etc.

like i have said before i think any update is a bonus and for me the fact you can mark multiple photos and upload them to new or existing albums in facebook is a must plus for me because it is a pain in the arse connecting my phone to my pc because all out of usb sockets also video recording is much better now with the full screen yes it would of been nice for some little extra's as well but if we got all the updates in one there would not be much to look forward to so fingers crossed this is the 2nd update of many to come

Anonymous, 10 Mar 2010im done downloading the update and these are my assestments... moreya u r right...this minor update came after 4 months (without kinetic scrolling, multi touch, original themes n softwares) and by the time the next update comes Satio wud become a thing of past coz nokia, maemo, samsung and android platform wud be way ahead...and not to forget the next iphone 4G coming later this year...even the sonyericsson's X10 cud hav been a great phone but it has only 65,536 color display and android 1.6 which is outdated now...a disapointment for me atleast...i hope sony makes a 12mp camera phone with android OS and capacitive touchscreen...that wud be awesome...
