Anonymous, 11 Nov 2015No, you can't. You can on a HTC One M8 running a SD 810 tho... moreJust a quick comment... I have the Nexus 6P w/SD810 (version 2) and it Never gets hot. If I play Real Racing for an hour or so it does get slightly warm but that's it. I really hope that the next Nexus is as nice as this with the SD820. (I really feel that the 820 will be a game changer! Only time will tell.) Take care, -Eric

these are not exactly features but i can say that qualcomm does better than exynos....why..well snapdragon chipsets has much better support for customer roms as many of u like...has better management in overall performance along with the ram provisioned for it.....exynos has good speed but is terrible for multitasking having issues with ram...insted of loading apps it close everything and runs the app from beggining wich is none sense for a 4gb device ..... i have always like these krait cores im actually using my lg G2 with sd800 on it..it is not the greates any more like in 2013 ... but i can run what ever on it whit out worries it will lag .....ram management is good...i cant see me changing this device for now.....g3 and g4 didnt catch my attention at all,... because this sd800 performs betetr overall good speed, regular heat, good battery life.... ill wait until my G2 break or cant run any app before changing it.....im ill be taking snap dragon as long as they continue with custom cores ...

AnonD-442781, 12 Nov 2015Yeah, that's why Qualcomm are reported to have asked Samsun... moreYou haven't read at all what i've said, forget overheating issues, I am on about features of the two respective chips, see what Qualcomm can offer especially in terms of connectivity, data, etc. We are not talking here about how fast a chip is, we don't need anything faster as the chips we have are already fast enough. I don't care how fast exynos 8890 is, as I know in all other aspects it's second rate.

Wow....I see a lot of people drawing conclusions based on next to no actual information.
Why don't we just wait and see how performance and thermal management turn out when devices based on this SOC are actually announced.
I for one am expecting quite a lot from the 820, quad-core solutions based on custom core designs is what Qualcomm have in the past done best.

mas39, 12 Nov 2015It would help if you read the article rather than being so ... moreYeah, that's why Qualcomm are reported to have asked Samsung to fix the overheating issue.
If it's always ahead why is it so difficult for you to compare the SD810 and exynos 7420 instead of the exynos8890 which we know very little about?

Snapdragon 800 is still a fantastic chip, still using it in my Z Ultra and it's never let me down, played every game that's out there without any lag, can't complain, can't see me upgrading for some time yet.

AnonD-442781, 11 Nov 2015What features? It would help if you read the article rather than being so ignorant and saying what features, the exynos chips don't offer anything at all apart from speed and overheating as per normal. Snapdragon will always be way ahead of exynos when it comes to features.

Anonymous, 11 Nov 2015I don't know why are you wasting your time arguing with nok... more...you didn't read the comment to which I replied...
He was saying it was probably a software upscaling and I just said they do use real sensor area...

passer, 11 Nov 2015increase performance = increase battery consumption?No.
Take for example Pentium 4/ Pentium D vs Core series processors.
Pentiums could take even 120w or something like this, Core ones on even more performance draw ~70w.

Remember it's not about which one is the fastest but the amount of features they can offer a mobile device and the snapdragon is the winner by far, just take a look at all the wonderful features and if you want more, go on the qualcomm website and check it all out.
